@greem My doctor probably saved my life by asking me to get my prostate checked when my PSAs started to waver, going a bit higher than normal. It doesn't take much, guys, and the earlier you find out, the better the prognosis. It turned out to be early-early-stage cancer, and with a bit of surgery, it's been "cured" for now. If I had waited, or ignored it, who knows where I'd be now.
My urologist told me that _every male_ is going to get prostate cancer eventually, it's just a matter of what age, and if you die of something else first. If you aren't having PSAs tested regularly, or with your regular checkups, ask your doctor to start.
Also, both my GP and my Urologist said that you really should start getting checked around 40, rather than 50. You can put it off, but the earlier you start checking it, the safer you will be.
