@thebeeguy fun read! Out of interest, what separates a queen bee from a regular female bee, biologically speaking?

@farah@beige.party an echo chamber is only a problem when it seriously disconnects a person from what the outside world is like.
People who live their entire lives on social media naturally think that social media echo chambers are a problem - and they would be, for them.
In the same way that having a friend who agrees with you on most stuff isn't a problem, a social media echo space isn't a problem for healthy people who don't experience the world primarily through social media.

@Tutanota @noybeu thanks for the heads up. Here's how to do it on mobile:
-
Navigate to Privacy Centre. On Facebook this will be under "settings and privacy". On Instagram this will be under "settings and activity"->"more info and support".
-
In the privacy centre, search for "more detailed information about meta's generative AI models" and select it.
-
Scroll down to "Your right to object", open and click "Learn more and submit requests here" which open the objection form.
-
Do note that this form asks for yet more personal information about you, rather than just linking your objection with your account :/

@alatartheblue @Tutanota @noybeu yup, it's pretty scummy. I'd imagine it only covers whatsapp if a person has linked their meta account to it (I haven't)

@sundogplanets@mastodon.social I feel very conflicted/sad about reflect orbital. In a sane world not powered by greed, it would be such an incredibly cool and useful technology if managed carefully and responsibly. But unfortunately the world we live in has to ruin absolutely everything.
