No one who calls themselves leftist, progressive or pragmatic should defend the Islamic Republic; and no one should shame people driven to desperation by a regime of bullets, torture, rape and execution.
People under terror do not welcome war lightly. When protests, strikes, and every peaceful path are crushed with violence, victims are pushed to see foreign attack by hostile actors as the only way to end a greater evil. This is not endorsement of war, but a measure of despair.
When a country cuts off all means of communication to its own people even before a conflict begins, you know who the real oppressor is.
Shutting down the #Internet, cutting off the phones, blocking satellite broadcasts, jamming GPS and other devilish acts isn’t security, but total tyranny. No state that fears truth more than war can claim justice.
Remember: a regime that treats its people like threats is the true villain in any conflict.
The Islamic Republic just sent me a message thanking me for “applying” as a volunteer to be killed in its war.
I did not apply for this bullshit, I never will an no one should!
This is what authoritarian power looks like: turning coercion into recruitment, death into propaganda and obedience into a patriotic duty.
To anyone still trying to romanticize this regime: This is not liberation, not dignity, not anti-imperialism. It is a state that consumes its own people.
If there is one thing we Iranians have learned in these 47 years under this terror regime, it is how to recognize the ignoble mercenaries who make a living by betraying others.
Across Europe and the US, people rally against authoritarianism. That solidarity matters; but it rings hollow when it ignores those living under far harsher repression!
When commentary from afar ends up excusing a violent regime or dismissing the desperation of its victims, it doesn’t challenge tyranny, but shields it.
Stand against oppression everywhere, without turning those already suffering into the cost of your stance.

Today, #Iran ’s official full-time wage has been announced to set at just €120 a month.
For people of #Tehran, a basic unfurnished small home already costs at least €110 a month and one kilogram of meat is about €12.
This is not a living #wage. It is social violence.
And while #workers are being crushed by hunger, some still have the shamelessness to call their #protest “foreign #propaganda.”
Solidarity with the people resisting exploitation, not with the people excusing it.
First time online this new Persian year, barely, through an unstable #Starlink connection. The Islamic Republic is waging war on Iranians. People are being shot, tortured, and executed for refusing to cheer for the #IRGC.
Desperation is everywhere. People are only hoping #US and #Israel attacks would end this regime and fear any deal that keeps this regime alive, because they know if it's not distracted by war, it turns its violence fully on its own people.
