AI datacenters displacing and destroying communities is explicitly capitalist. Capitalism says that if the capital reproduction machine ever values the carbon in you blood more than the fire in your soul, your life is forfeit. Capitalism says that the people who own the systems of production can create as much scarcity as they want to maximize profits. It says institutions can own shares across all 3 "competitors" in an industry and influence their boards to cut production to improve unit economics, draining the wider economy. Etc

The more you understand about the world, the less you will rely on projection — conscious or otherwise. That is, when one has direct experience and explicit / holistic frameworks to fallback to, one is less likely to fall into subconscious traps made of your preconceptions and implicit / unexamined beliefs

I can accept an HR department filtering me before the actual technical people get to meet me and verify my capabilities. Fine. But someone using a tool they don't understand to prescreen people for jobs they ALSO don't understand? C'mon, this is ridiculous.

You can also scan people's credit cards. I think those are the "controversial" usecases — even though you could do all that with basically your laptop and some wire lol.
You can't really copy car openers cuz the code constantly changes. If you DO capture it and find the sequence of codes, the original clicker may become desynced iirc
