Just seen someone using ai;dr and that is a concise response we are going to be using a lot.
Creature Of The Hill

Come to realise there are several distinct souls living in this corporeal form. A plural system, currently composed of five of us, anyone else turns up, they get to sort everything while the rest of us take a break for a bit.
Artist, wanderer, fixer, maker, activist, trans..
Always a creature of the hill.
(plural: they/them singular: she/her)
Located in the North of Scotland
Old enough to probably know better 😜
Actually autistic, and now suitably acknowledged/pathologised by the NHS
#nobot #noindex
they/them plural, she/her singular
Fuck PinkNews :transknife:
If you are cis and sharing stories from it, kindly reconsider when educated or you are getting blocked.
The trans journalist that PinkNews sacked and has some real horror stories about the owners, is calling for a boycott.
They are now a journalist free outlet and platforming Wes child killer Streeting.
They were always low quality, but are now openly hostile to the trans community.

We spotted hobbles a local three legged cat on the shed, and when our wife looked she was like...
FIGS OUTSIDE!
Second glance was reassuring after we had also done the initial WTF :blobcatgiggle:
A new neighbourhood ginger cat.
Very skittish and Laurits, one of ours, chased it out of the garden shortly afterwards.
(Fig is an indoor cat who gets garden privileges and we thought had got out unsupervised)
Well today was supposed to be a relaxing easy one.
One of the young ones came through as we were eating breakfast. The other one was on the phone to her dad. Guy the family cat had gone downhill and was looking like he might either pass or need to go to the vets.
Her dad doesn't drive. The cat isn't registered with a vets. So we all pile into the truck to go there.
Get there and he has the look. He is not long for this world, having dropped a massive amount of weight over the last few days, and struggling to move. Though he really tried to perk up for her when she got to see him.
We discussed options as he wasn't in obvious pain, and we were balancing the stress of a 30 minute car journey to the vets vs staying at home. In the end, as work commitments meant her Dad couldn't be there from tomorrow, and he didn't want to have Guy alone in pain if he got worse, we decided on the vets.
We called a confused vets, who our cats are registered with, who bless struggled to work out who was who in a blended family, but double booked us in for just after lunch.
Took everyone with Guy the cat to the vets, youngest, her dad, her brother and our other young one. Explained to the receptionist who we were, and left them too it because it was a lot of people.
Stepped outside and got chatting to an old guy with a westie about tech/radio/plurality/transness. He was definitely neurospicy, even if he was too old to use the term :blobcatgiggle:
They got out having had Guy put down. The vet agreed it was the right call given his age 14-16 at beat guess.
Took them all back.
There was quite a but of decision paralysis about where to bury him, they were all understandably upset, but eventually a spot was chosen. Youngest took clay paw prints of Guy and wrapped him in a blanket.
We dug a suitable grave, and she laid him in with a toy. The family is neurospicy across the board in different ways. We managed to get them to each put some dirt in the grave by hand or shovel before we filled it in.
Then had to take her dad to a local supermarket, as he doesn't drive, and with all the stress of the cat he hadn't got to do the shopping.
Finally got home about 4pm in time go throw together a quick fish curry.
If tomorrow could just be a little less well, everything, that would be nice.
RIP Guy.
A beautiful big ginger fluffball with massive paws and huge love for his humans.
He will leave a cat shaped hole in the household and the hearts of those that knew him.
Think we might need to resticker our laptop, and tbh stick a new battery in it...
All the Stardew Valley stickers have faded rather a lot :blobcatgoogly:
After a busy day we were sat in the sun for a bit and Laurits came to settle on us.
He is such an adorable cat 😻
Stopped by a local bothy this morning.
Checked all was OK.
Didn't sign the book, but did leave a mark in charcoal, left over from a fire, on the wall
Stopped at the beach while we were up at the coast. Young ones wanted a chipper, so we grabbed a few minutes on the sand while they ate.
Of course, we had to drive past the Cullen dinosaur :blobcatgiggle:

Two cats now delivered to their new home.
They have settled in after exploring the new space.
We had a short pause in the journey as one threw up on the other 🙀 She got a bit travel sick. But Floki was sitting on her at some points, so he possibly deserved it :blobcatgiggle:
They are now clean and chilling out now though
About to transport two cats to their new home on the coast.
Our housemate moved out last week and now the flat she has is ready for her cats, it is time to take them there.
They are not going to like the hour long drive. But they will adore bring reunited and having new spaces to explore 😸
Oh the irony of an anarchist system organising various people to make sure they can get to vote tomorrow :blobcatgiggle: Multiple households, multiple polling locations....
(We only vote on a harm reduction basis, especially keeping fash out in low turnout local affairs where they can sneak in.)
It's a mystery...
Cost of living crisis, crippling austerity, a government that hates kids/disabled/immigrant/queer people, no chance of buying a house if you don't already have one, pensions a joke if you are under 50, climate change, rising fascism, wealth inequality off the scale, media and internet controlled by a handful of oligarchs...
Nope, cannot think of any reason Wes 🤦♀️
Our mental health should be just tip top...

A few pics from a walk this morning 💚
A friend was struggling with her health, housing and relationship, so came over yesterday. Generally for a bit of respite, to vent, and for various people to help her with next steps. Getting referrals, on housing lists etc...
She has three dogs in a flat, and chronic health conditions. So we also did a bit of dog sitting too. They are not really lead trained, and are all a handful as the oldest is only going to be neutered in a couple of weeks. They adore our back garden and playing non-stop, but we took them out on a quiet bit of hill with the young ones. Somewhere where they wouldn't have to negotiate other dogs or people. After a couple of miles, they were getting the hang of walking on leads. Coped with seeing a cyclist, noisily but stayed put well.
When we finally took our friend and the dogs home in the evening, they were tuckered out. She sent a photo of them too tired to even go out for an evening pee and collapsed in her room.
We consider that mission accomplished :blobcatgiggle:
Last week we sank a steel pole into a friend's garden to help him with getting his antenna in a more suitable place. Dug a metre down and set if in concrete. Told him go leave it alone while it set. Also dug a trench and cemented a horizontal bar in the lawn, running guy wire under it. Covered it back over with the turf to act as a ground anchor. Used two walls and the house to sink anchor bolts into for the other guy lines.
This week, we helped him drop it from it's terrible location that got him complaints, unsurprisingly. It was clamped to the handrail of his neighbours front path. :blob_grimace: Then put it up in the right spot.
He was worried about it spinning, so we went and bought M10 bar and nuts. Put one bar through the vertical poles and the one on the ground down low, and another up high. Then added his u clamps. This means if the lower bolt is left in it is a pivot for raising and lowering it. Later he will add a winch. He is slight (41kg), we just walked it up and down for testing as we are double his weight and stronger 🤷♀️
It is now guyed in a cross shape and we straightened the radiator of the 827 and most of the radials where he had dropped it and bent them. Coax under the lawn and running up through the loft and down into his shack.
Guy is a monotropic chaos monkey with a radio special interest, and will likely have taken it down for some reason to tinker and broken something in a couple of weeks, so bet we will be back to fix stuff soon.
He is on strict orders to buy parts. Especially the stuff we gave him 7 days to sort ready for today, and didn't. Don't mind a bit of improvisation, heck hacker ethos, but he had the time and money :blobcatgoogly:
https://smsk.dev/2026/04/26/ai-cannot-self-improve-and-math-behind-proves-it/
Interesting and not too technical read. Basically the more current "AI" models use their own output to train, or the output of other "AIs", the dumber they get.
In order to get better, they NEED human created content.
We rather appreciate and respect Esoterica.
Have to say, this reinforced that.
Looking at AI from all the usual political/social/economic/environmental aspects.
But also how it removes the spiritual aspect, devaluing those carefully crafted images/words/sigils and rendering them and the consumer of AI content of the value and twisting the intent.

Wasn't a morning for getting vitamin D, but we didn't expect snow :blobcatgiggle:
So very very true :blobcatgiggle:
