@ishambard@cupoftea.social With the speed they're releasing new titles and the (relatively) poor sales, think it's more likely you'll see three more FF7 remasters before getting to FF30

I've spent a little bit more time adding proper error messaging / formatting to my project and wow it pays off dividends. Who knew that issues were easier to diagnose if the error message tells you plainly what is wrong.
Does anybody know what happened to Resonate (https://resonate.coop/)? I'm reading Rebecca Giblin and @pluralistic@mamot.fr 's Chokepoint Capitalism and it seemed to have a very interesting business model. Really curious to know why it got dissolved.
Boosts appreciated!

@lritter@mastodon.gamedev.place @Tattooed_Mummy@beige.party Not neccesarily true when you consider Imgur blocked itself which does not tailor directly to "adult entertainment". Remember First They Came when making sweeping arguments like that

@dusoft I believe so yes. Mathsodon has LaTeX rendering for example (https://mathstodon.xyz/about) which isn't supported by Mastodon.

@jsstaedtler@mastodon.art I've have / had this issue at work and to my surprise even Google's own bots (the not awful ones) are exceptionally stupid at this, even to the point where Google Search Console (SEO management tool) tells me to stop blocking nonsense query parameters. Like, if I tell you that search result pages shouldn't be indexed because there's a gazillion of them, please don't STILL crawl them and tell me off for not allowing you to index them!

@ratfactor@mastodon.art Thank you for writing and sharing, the feelings are very relatable. I really like the idea of the stack, going to try that for myself :blobpeek:

@knmi@social.overheid.nl Hey KMNI, is het mogelijk om alt tekst toe te voegen voor de foto die je hebt gebruikt? Het artikel heeft namelijk wel alt tekst: "Veld met kool"

https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Learn_web_development/Howto/Web_mechanics/What_is_a_URL and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clean_URL do explain why this exists for web, but part of me doesn't like it. Should websites return directories (instead of sitemaps) when the URL ends with /?
If anyone can help me, I'm looking for this bracket that comes with a Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini PC case. I bought one secondhand and unfortunately it did not come with this bracket. I'm also missing some sort of HDD drive bay. If anyone knows where I can buy these parts (preferably 2nd hand!), please let me know. Boosting would be appreciated.
Edit: I live in the UK
Today I learned that passphrases are weak and need to be longer and / or should require numbers or symbols.

@neil@mastodon.neilzone.co.uk Wonder if we'll see the rise of internet cafes again with the internet becoming more hostile.

@marco@mastodon.skup.in @shidokidoki@comicscamp.club You'd unfortunately still run into the payment processor issue.

@openrightsgroup@social.openrightsgroup.org I wonder when governments will consider large software projects like this similar to physical infrastructure and turn them into "job creators" as you typically see for large infrastructure projects.
