Not acknowledging people of color and not-male people of any kind is extremely dangerous, as it will erase them from the public, as they were before.
Our world is racist and sexist, so we must push every form of breakup in the status quo and celebrate it until it's normalized.

@ics "Not all men" only works as an argument if "those men" are actively combating the patriarchy. Just "not participating" means standing by as injustice and harm continue. Most of the time, almost all of the time, "not all men" is just a petty excuse to do nothing and to dodge criticism instead of joining the fight. That's why the patriarchy is still there.

Any mastodon admins here who know about self-hosting mastodon?
I am currently struggling hard with setting up my own mastodon instance on docker using "docker compose".
My Mastodon page is showing the "Something is wrong on our side" banner. That's how far I've gotten so far.
Just pointing me to the docker documentation would be an immense help right now, since I can't find any explicit docker setup guides.

Whenever I see toots that are non-critical of societal issues or just plain "not thought through" and sometimes even (slightly) offensive, they all seem to come from new accounts that were created within the month or even within the last week.
Most of them don't have any bio or own toots and just reply to (political/societal issues) stuff.
They're not like on Twitterx that I left 4 years ago in it's horrible state with stuff being massively offensive and right wing, they're just slightly "out of tone", "unaware".
Are those deliberate "flaming the libs" accounts, or is that just normal social media background noise spilling over to fedi?

At work though... 😅 different beast. Auth/ID runs on Google, Mail, Calendar, Meet...
But that's my works problem to solve, so I don't really care here either 😂 I voiced my concern about Google already...
