Or install Graphene on a device you already have if you can. Right now my personal goal is to give no money to US big tech unless there is really no other source.

IMO giving up the convenience of Apple and google is a tiny price to pay.

@broadwaybabyto the US kills 100 people in Venezuela, tiny protests, they kill one person in the US, suddenly protests erupt. The rest of the world is in trouble because it seems the US population really doesn’t care about trumps international threats and actions, they’ll only show up when some of their own start dying.

@marcoarment@mastodon.social seriously, everyone should boycott big tech as much as they can. Cancel your subscriptions, migrate to alternatives or just revert to the way things were before we put everything in the cloud. Manual backups are annoying but better than supporting the fascists

@philmore@mastodon.online honestly you should probably cancel all Apple subscriptions and purchases if you have any care for what happens outside the US borders too. Giving money to a company whose CEO is directly supporting a fascist is not a great look on any American.

@Setok@attractive.space @hausgeist@todon.eu @nizmow@bitbang.social @Moltz@mastodon.social I'm also on an iPhone 13 mini, I've cancelled my Apple services and won't be buying anything new from Apple for at least 10 years or there is drastic political change within the US. Even if Trump is gone and there is some restoration of "normal" they cannot be trusted not to fall back into this pattern without significant overhaul to their political system.

It's been rather annoying trying to avoid Qualcomm as they seem to have most of the bigger phone names locked in.
