@sem@piefed.blahaj.zone @Hello_there@fedia.io I've been known to rescue bikes from our local 'dump shop'/recycling center. Also a great place to pickup cheap parts for repairs.

I had a great day yesterday. Well, right up to the point where I broke my ankle on a run. Luckily my mate I was running with is a search and rescue volunteer and looked after me until the rural fire brigade and ambulance could get up the hill to me.

The first book I ever bought was in 1984. I took my birthday money to the bookshop and bought The Living Planet by David Attenborough. That book along with his documentaries instilled in me an appreciation of the beauty and wonders of the natural world. Ultimately it inspired me to become a biologist and conservationist.

Happy 100th birthday #DavidAttenborough

@futuresprog I like his points about community. He is 100% correct that we are all energy blind. Unfortunately I still have an ice car but I ride my bike 90% of the time.

@futuresprog even if we come@through this crisis better than he predicts, this is just a trial run for the next 10-20 years as oil becomes more difficult and expensive to extract.
