I never seen such a detailed write-up of any other talk I have given before as this one of my talk about using FOSS tools in FOSS projects by @jzb@hachyderm.io in @lwn@fedi.lwn.net I feel honored by the article, it really captures the spirit of my talk! https://lwn.net/SubscriberLink/1060649/915a0f56ade5d760/

Upptäckte precis klimatkalendern och blev glad över att det se så många inplanerade evenemang. https://klimatkalendern.nu/ #klimat
RE: https://wikipediapodden.se/wikidata-notability-reform-356/
Yesterday, I had the chance to speak with @nightrose@mastodon.online about the ongoing Wikidata notability reform. In my opinion, a great summary of the lengthy discussions onwiki.

After the struggle trying to present on a Mac at the #wmhack showcase it feels good to have a better prepared video that explains the workflow on Commons now: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:CommonsDB_Wikimedia_hackathon_-_narrated_showcase_video.webm
On Monday, April 6, @abbe98@mastodon.social and I are livestreaming while we are editing Wikidata live.Find the streams at the links on #Wikidata. https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Event:Wikidata_Live_Editing_120
It took me some time, but I finally got a around recapping my experience at Wikimedia Hackathon Nprthwestern Europe: https://diff.wikimedia.org/2026/03/28/commonsdb-making-progress-at-the-wikimedia-hackathon-northwestern-europe/

The Wikimedia hackathon a bit over a week ago was a blast, so I tried to summarize my experience in a blog post: https://diff.wikimedia.org/2026/05/11/technical-tinkering-for-commonsdb-at-the-wikimedia-hackathon/

I had a great time presenting Open licensing for the better sharing of climate data on behalf of @creativecommons@mastodon.social at #EUMETSAT2025. The program committee had lined up the talks in the track Open Science and FAIR Principles from wider topics to the more narrow and technical in the end that brought everyone along. Lots of good intentions in the room with people trying to influence organizations to increase sharing and collaboration.

Thanks @eumetsat@mastodon.social!
This looks promising, I hope it will catch on!
It's the last Thursday of the month, so this afternoon at 15.00 CET it's time for a community call for the Standard for Public Code. The agenda looks fairly light, so there is plenty of room to add more or to ask questions during the call. https://www.standardforpubliccode.org/#community-calls

In a few hours, this afternoon, it's time for the monthly community call for the Standard for Public Code. A few small things on the agenda, so probably lots of room for questions too.

@stuartyeates@cloudisland.nz Oh, then I didn't understand what you were trying to do. I thought you wanted to improve Wikidata, which would be beneficial for the Wikimedia movement regardless if any language version of Wikipedia was shut down or not.
@stuartyeates@cloudisland.nz Nice! Perhaps a mlwiki database report like these could be created? https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Database_reports/no_statements
Jag skrev en kort start till artikel om #COP30 på #Wikipedia. Fyll gärna på! https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Förenta_nationernas_klimatkonferens_2025
