Ruby developer, consultant, systems thinker. Bicycles are antidepressants. (he/him)
Today, I volunteered with Community Kitchens #Oakland to deliver meals to our unhoused neighbors by bicycle.
They do it a few times a month. If you have any kind of bike, you can help out,
Not just a big hauler like mine.

It’s important to say the implicit part out loud:
You *should* be able to pronounce the kids names because the teachers know the students well. That should be the standard.
That they can’t, isn’t a market opportunity for AI - it’s a red flag for the education system.
This is the lowest moment in Ruby Central’s history but the remaining team have a clear (but challenging) plan to restructure. They deserve our support and encouragement.
AND
I want to be extra clear to anyone who wants to shitpost about this:
Your opinions are far less valuable than your volunteered time and expertise. By a lot.
If you care enough to snark online, then you care enough to volunteer your time.
Suit up.

Tired: The left (~50% of people?) is starting a class war.
Wired: Working people (~95% of people) have always been in a class war, we are just losing badly right now and it’s time to stand up.
