📢📢📢 Urgent call for action against Chat Control!
The EU still wants to pass the infamous "Chat Control" law, that would mandate scanning of all private digital communications, including encrypted messages and photos. This threatens fundamental privacy rights and can transform EU into a digital Gulag. Currently only 3 countries oppose this law, while 15 member states support it and 9 remain indecisive.
This means, the balance can still be shifted! It is very important to influence at least those who are in doubt. For instance, you can contact a MEP (Member of the European Parliament) and demand to oppose to Chat Control.
There is a tool that automates the process of writing and sending such letters:

Пожалуйста, помогите нам оценить масштаб и способы блокировки! Прогоняйте тесты у себя с разных сетей. Интересует, конечно же, и мобильный и домашний интернет. По ссылке объясняется как принять участие в тестировании. Вкратце: нужно приложение OONI Probe (доступно для всех основных ОС) и нажать на ссылку. Всё. Результаты автоматически попадут в базу, ничего особенного делать после тестирований не нужно.

Ещё там по умолчанию не хранится ничего и со следующего релиза zero metadata! Это поэтому и релей называется, что он не обязан хранить ничего, а просто передает. Плюс, в чатмэйлах невозможно отправить не зашифрованные сообщения. Плюс, нет проблемы со спамом и задержками.

Please don't yell at me with capslock ;) I happen to be a mom of two tiny human beings who depend on me, and I do not always have time to dig and do "research". I wish I could, that would improve the quality of the posts. But when I came across this screenshot, I wanted to immediately share it on Fedi, I found this interesting. Being a long term Russian oppositioner I have seen those kinds of practices deployed in my country and I am always interested in mapping those initiatives. This was the intention behind the post.

Там нет флуда, но туда первыми приходят какие-то новости, обновления или какие-то внутренние фишки если мы что-то новое хитроумное придумали.

В какой-то момент от пользователей был запрос собрать проверенные релеи в какой-то список, так и появился список на сайте. Не все могут себе сами поднять сервер или искать что-то малоизвестное.

Если вы не хотите тестировать, я понимаю :) но все же надеюсь на отклик и некоторое участие комьюнити

@lenka@shark.lenka.moe тут непонятно насколько эти люди себя называли свободными медиа. Я уже встречалась с незаконным арестом инженеров, тот же Дима Богатов оператор тор-ноды, божий одуванчик. Много таких было кто не причастен был к политике, но попал под раздачу. Я этих парней в таком ключе восприняла из текста, но возможно ошибаюсь

Например, если один заблокируют или вы заметили что он стал медленнее работать или глючит, вы можете переключиться на другой. Больше ничего делать не нужно (предупреждать ваши контакты, как-то им писать отдельно и так далее)
