What is the main motivation for not using LLMs as part of the development process? I am asking mainly to understand as I am head of studies at a department of computer science and we are currently getting ready to put more coding with LLMs into courses.

@carnage4life Layoffs are not an existential problem. If productivity stays high, this problem can be solved through redistribution of funds. There are other much more serious problems with AI that we need to be very of, while we try to navigate the creation of AI.

Personally I think unions are even more important. In Denmark there is no minimum wage, but unions have real power that negotiates actual wages in different fields. The parliament cannot interfere with the negotiations. This was fought with blood in 1901. The USA unions need to arm and kill to win rights.

@cmconseils@mastodon.social Why should an employer pay for commute time? In Denmark we have tax rebates for commutes over a certain distance. This is to encourage people to commute such that the job market remains flexible.

@DanielMReck @simonbs If we realistically should do this I think fundraising before starting projects (kickstarter) or pay as you go for extra content (patreon) would be a solution. If I should be more realistic I would actually like us to have 5 or 10 years of copyright and not close to infinite.
