@checkervest@laserdisc.party I remember someone getting mad at you because you said you saw a balloon and they wanted you to know that an animal could choke on that
Dreamt my partner joined some kind of internet security org and the chief was scornful that I wasn't enough of a gamer and my ads weren't blocked enough

@Colophonscrawl@monads.online my partner thinks it should be clones, like Baby Yoda is a clone of Yoda made by the baddies to get legendary jedi power on the side of Badness. but then they learn that you can't just clone guys

@funkula@goblin.camp these are great because the sculpture does all the work. Watery paint pools in the deep parts of the figure, and when it dries, boom, natural-looking shading.

@funkula@goblin.camp the two techniques that are easy and create great looking minis are glazing (thin transparent layers, usually darker) and drybrush (paint so thick it is almost dry, very little of it, applied like you're dusting, with a fucked-up brush). Glaze to give shadows and dimension, drybrush texture and highlights

@horsefucker_thicc@monads.online I think I like that idea better than treating them as opposed motives, which notion I got directly from a song in the Cosmic Trigger play

@horsefucker_thicc@monads.online I have a lot of interest in using Timothy Leary's eight circuits of consciousness as character generation tools, but I think their possible utility for this purpose runs out by about 6

@funkula@goblin.camp Hmm. Maybe more contrast between your base and drybrush color would get a satisfying effect?

@checkervest@laserdisc.party I've been working on like a zine to encourage people to doodle in their downtime, to spend less time with the many kinds of entertainments that are actually taking bits of life from them
I've been watching the Andrew Scott Ripley, and very good it is. I don't know the novels, but the Matt Damon film was a staple viewing for me for a few years.
