Last night, middle of the night, I'm up with extreme nerve pain, but here comes this guy to sit with me and purr. When I then went back to bed, he got on my stomach and stretched out so I could fall asleep petting him. He is only 2 1/2, but he is becoming a fine nurse Rory.

Last night I had a really bad pain flair and while I was sat in the recliner with my face trying to touch my toes and my arm dangling to the ground, this little guy decided he needed to be baby and curled up in my lap and purred while I cried.
I'm slowly trying to talk to people on here. I hear your posts but I always end up deleting my comments, thinking my sense of humor won't come across or I will be THAT person.

I did something nice for myself. I dyed my hair. It's not the red from my pfp but dark chocolate brown.
The hair dye actually did really well with the white sparkles.
This isn't the best picture, but that's ok.
For the past year, once or twice a week, my mom tells me how she didn't sleep the night before. When I suggest she speaks to her doctor she gets furious and tells me this rarely happens and tries to tell me it happens only about once or twice a year.
She lives alone still (her doctor says this is fine) but I'm thinking maybe it will be important to track her health? Anyone have experience with #Alzheimers #Dementia and how do you track this?
Also, if anyone knows of any good free apps that they have already tested feel free to let me know! I can look up apps but if you have already tested this, I that would save me time and energy.

I just spent an hour on the phone with my best friend who has decided that we will chat on the phone every day, but days I have appointments, because she is far away now and she does not want me to feel alone and she loves me and wishes she could help more.
I love her. This helped me so much. Words and actions to help me get stronger.
My grandmother passed 31 years ago and I had a dream last night that I was pushing her in a wheelchair around an extremely busy thrift store and we couldn't figure out why it was so busy until we looked at the clothes and they were ALL Hello Kitty clothes. I squealed, and she clapped with happiness (she really was always supportive of things I loved) and said, "Onward! We buy all the clothes!!" and we shopped and laughed.
I can allllmost smell her perfume.
At the lab for blood draw and there are 30 numbers ahead of us. The waiting room is packed. 😭
This is a very busy weekend for me!
I finally have a ride to get bloodwork done, and we have two separate D&D games.
I play a fairy drunken master monk named Lemon in one, and in the other, I play 2 characters, one Astral Elf Way of the Long Death monk named Shera and a Fairy Sorlock named Liala.

@luce I need a vacation. We can't spend the money at the moment but maybe later in the year. A weekend at a hotel, alone, with room service. Just me and... silence. Maybe it will have an accessible bath or shower and I can soak for 2 days straight. Le sigh.

@MostlyBlindGamer I brought that up twice in the last year, and she refused. She refuses 98% of my suggestions. My mom thinks I'm stupid because I'm disabled and have not gone to college.
That's why I'm trying to get an app for my phone that I can add info to.

@alice@lgbtqia.space I can't see what options you have there, but if you are willing to wait and order some, I really liked Artic Fox. I had super thin and fine baby hair, and then that hair got older and stubborn like myself. Artic Fox worked and made my hair feel soft.
But, I will also say that hair is so different for each individual and what one person likes, another will hate. This is just what I used.

And she is a Way of the Long Death monk so she actually was quite thoughtful about the whole experience. Right now she can't decide if she liked it or if it was disconcerting.
She wants to try it again and see. (Got an inspiration for that one)

@skua Thank you. She just got the official diagnosis. She still can live on her own and drive, but I've noticed a decline. I've suspected something was wrong for a few years.
It is a lot. And I do not have a good relationship with her so I'm struggling a bit.

I am currently only looking for an app to track her health so that when we go to the doctor, and i bring it up, and she inevitably argues, I then have more info and standing when I speak to her doctor. I already have a list for the rest and have almost gotten her completely on board with getting these.

First. I didn't say to keep them short. I said that you don't need to be a wordsmith telling a literal story. My post, was for people who don't write alt text because they are intimidated by stories being woven. I was supporting THEM.
Second. You have put a lot of thought into alt text and I applaud that. Genuinely.
Third. You CAN post the name of a building and just say, "the main building on Nebadon Izumi's campus." And give a brief description. Maybe compare it to a more famous building? I don't know, because no I have never heard of it.
Fourth. Something I always recommend is to, if one has time, to spend a day or two with their eyes closed while using the internet. Sometimes that is a helpful experience.
In conclusion, you do you. Are you explaining the photo in a way someone can understand what it is? Yes? Done! No, that's ok because this is a skill we learn.
