I'm in Whitby having a quick pint after stripping wallpaper all day. Just seen a hearse go by. There was a coffin in the back but also a skeleton on top of it. I don't know if it was someone's last request or just extreme goth. Normal for Whitby, I suppose. Xxx

I think the problem is that you are trying to make sense of something he's said.

"Ubuntu is not becoming an AI product, but it can become stronger with thoughtful AI integration."
I'm not going to jump ship yet.

Not wanting to defend the guy who turned out to be a massive dickhead, but the point he was making was more about the difficulty of defining consciousness, and what separates the "zombie" consciousness of AI from what we experience as humans, rather than genuinely believing the AI was conscious.

I have found that it can take a while to find everything. It can also get a bit confused if the file names contain more than the name of the film/program. I had to fiddle around a bit to get everything just how I wanted it. Overall though, it's very impressive.

The prey are evolving at the same time as the predator, so as it gets incrementally bigger, they would get incrementally quicker/sharper/camouflaged/etc. It's like a massively parallel feedback system for both predator and prey

This is a very long shot...
Back in the day I used to ride an RD350LC, that I regret ever selling. I just looked up the reg number and my bike is still in existence and has been SORNed earlier this year.
This is the long shot bit - does anyone know anyone who might know the owner of A601 SGT, and if they aren't using it, do they want to sell?
That's
A601 SGT
It's a black RD350LC but is registered as being white. I'm not sure if it's changed colour or a mistake in the reg.
Please boost!

The main qualification for the job is loyalty to the trump administration above all else. This is Trump's private army.

His "Claudia" thing was about the nature of consciousness, rather than a belief that it was sentient. Despite the identical outputs from "Claudia" and humans, we have consciousness, and he was writing about what might make the difference between us and it.
Yes, to my dismay he's turned out to be a pompous transphobe, but he's not completely lost the plot.

It's his writing style, and his way of making a point. The actual article is here - https://unherd.com/2026/05/is-ai-the-next-phase-of-evolution/ I haven't read it because fuck paywalls, but the extracts I have seen seem to be asking the difference between talking to a concious person or a "zombie" person in the form of AI. It's not an original idea.

Totally. It's a point that has been made in a far better way than his writing. I think "The God Delusion" was when he stopped being insightful, and just started churning out rubbish.
