Well, got 3 pairs of pants hemmed today and repaired one t-shirt. Weeded two garden raised beds. Sprayed neem oil all around. That sounds like enough for a Sunday, don't you think?

A variation on Brighid (in Rhys of Wales colors) done for a friend recently.
She is hand cast plaster, painted with nontoxic colors and sealed with water based decoupage glue. Each figurine has it's own quirks and is unique. If you've ever worked with plaster you know it sets up how it wants to, lol.
If you'd like a Brighid figurine in your family's colors, you can order one here: https://artisans.coop/products/brigid-of-scotland

You might remember a week or so ago I posted what a hard time I was having with my fairy door shadow box beta test. And much to my pleasant surprise, it actually came out very pretty well after a bit of wailing and gnashing of teeth.
I'm not sure I'm going to put in on the Artisans Co-op page, but if you'd like a copy, I now have some solid back boxes and can make you one. DM me to let me know.

This latest beta test has had so many problems. I got a mold for some very cute fairy doors. They did work with plaster, yay!
But there were no solid back shadow boxes at the store, so I took one with slats... This led to a cascading set of issues.
Then I made a bad decision on the background image, which made things worse, lol.
Stay tuned for the finished beta test. I think it will look ok but don't know if I'll do that one again.
Astronomers define the equinox as the moment the Sun crosses the celestial equator. In other words, the Sun is directly above a point on Earth’s equator. The September equinox occurs when the Sun crosses the equator from north to south.
This year, the September equinox falls on September 23 at 00:05 UTC.

Meet Abundance!
She is cast plaster with an embedded piece from a vintage bracelet. There are only a few of these beads, so she's also a limited edition offering - each one will be one of kind, with some variations in the detailing and paint.

Spent today re-organizing my workspaces. I have some things I want to give away to the local ReCreate craft supplies shop, and a few things not worth donating. But overall, I just needed things to be in logical and accessible places, not based on size (as before) but based on frequency of need. I think it will work much better now.
Here's a little something I put together from clipart odds & ends while I was sick a while back.
A bit depressing. Forest Fires raging all around - the trees suffer because of us.
With all the smoke we've had lately I thought about this graphic I put together and had to look for it on an old backup drive. Yay for backups
- somehow it vanished.
I call it "Blood on the Moon: The Prayer of the Last Dryad."
If it will scale up I can have prints made.

What AI Slop proponents get wrong is that Art is not a thing in itself.
Art, Music, Crafts, even householding and gardening, each have their meaning and fulfillment and their spirit from the process, the act of creating it.
If a machine hallucinates it, it's not art. It's art-like vomit from an heartless, soulless, ignorant machine that cannot endow it with any spirit or any meaning.

I just found out that GoDaddy apparently whacked up pretty much every one of the links, and many of the descriptions, in my Gallery on my webpage.
I just spent HOURS fixing it all (hopefully).
If you have GoDaddy, you should check your site. I think they may have used some AISlop on it.

So I'm finishing up a couple of the stela design figurines that I had cast with some embedded beads & old jewelry.
One I've dubbed "Abundance" is nearing completion, and my beta test for Brighid of Scotland is...trying to manifest.
Putting my dad's family tartan as part of the design is going to be challenging.

I think they knew and didn't care.
Let me clarify - they knew their takeover would be this way, and didn't care.
All they're going to get is a ruined planet and crashed economy. That hateful, bloodthirsty demon they worship is not going to fix everything later or save them. It's laughing hysterically at them.
They won't be spared the effects of their actions. That's not how anything works.
The latest beta test is Brigid of Scotland. Since it's wildly unlikely most of you share my family clan, you should take this as an example of the design, not the particular colors yours will be.
Order a bespoke Brigid in your choice of tartan or solid colors via Artisans Co-op: https://artisans.coop/products/brigid-of-scotland
If you'd rather pay with Paypal, Square, or Venmo, send me a DM and I'll give you a Fediverse Discount!

"Do the Moon and Planets Affect the Timing of Solstices?

Virgo teaches us that true service isn’t about perfection or control. It’s about care, about showing up with integrity, even when the world is flawed. And perhaps most importantly, Virgo reminds us that part of wisdom is knowing when to let go.
The lesson of Virgo is not to do more, but to serve with heart, to know when to help & when to step back, and to hold space for hope, even in an imperfect world.

I have no idea what any of those words mean, so...you're pretty smart, lol.
For skywatchers on the east coast of the US and Canada, the partial phase will begin at 22:33 (10:33 pm) EDT on August 27, making this a Thursday evening event.
A Full Moon rises in the east around the same time the Sun sets in the west. So skywatchers in the western half of North America will need a clear view toward the eastern horizon to see the early part of the partial eclipse.

Right now I just need to get some windows software to work (for my day job) on my new linux laptop. I've been experimenting with my personal desktop but its not working. Longer term I'd like to host a server with a peertube (? or whatever) that I can make audio and video files available and also have zoom-type (not sure what the non-surveillance alternative is...) gatherings. I'd love it if my pen tablet worked with the linux desktop, too. 🤷♀️
Our purpose in life is not to be wage slaves to some corporation, or to consume until there is nothing left to consume.
We have let Wall St decide what our lives should be, instead of deciding ourselves.
