Attention fatigue (due to long exposure)
Vigilance decrement
Habituation

But the funniest one is the “autopilot effect” or “cruise control effect”.

Holy fluff, after watching Murderbot for only two episodes I can only say that I love the serie. It looks a bit campy, but honestly, it's a great #SciFi show.

It reminds me of the classic SciFi shows and that is high praise.

Imagine a music festival that gets interrupted so that some unrelated parties can play a demo-game. That would just be as strange and awkward to my sensibilities as interrupting a sport match. Mind you that this might be my bias talking.

@drajt @meowki @mjd Dutch money had quite a few different counterfeit measures. Most bills were too expensive to recreate (even if only half of the counterfeit measures were recreated) while the larger bills were generally refused. As such it was not an interesting target for criminals.

@TheEjj I’m willing to give it a spin. I have written a similar tool in the distant past, so I know a few things I can test (performance was an issue in my tool). I will add that that I can’t guarantee any type of commitment besides the first two hours due to prior commitment. 😉

@jollyorc @ainmosni Digital facing *and* live play at the table? Like a monitor/tablet facing away from the GM and towards the player? I would focus on a tool that allows a second display of the content so that I can edit on my screen. As for the tool itself there are plenty of options. Think Powerpoint or Figma, for the presentation/speaker mode. They allow live edit and you have a preview of what the audience sees.

It’s just that line developers get paid for their technical output and some leaders are unaware of the community that is behind it and powers all of it. 👍

@jollyorc @ainmosni I think sharing the hurt is needed to understand the problem you’re facing. 😉 My first thought would be that https://5e.tools/dmscreen.html would do the trick. But after reading the hurt it sounds more like an organizational issue. If you use slides you can use the “hide slide” trick to prevent revealing details. And to keep track of finding specific content you can create multiple slides or have an index.

As tasks are completed the blocked items will move up to the starter area. Now imagine a planning of 480 hours (2 week sprint with 6 team members) in which you don't have the ability to visualize all the different tasks and relations. Planning becomes easy when you can quickly organize the steps. (3/3)

@matuzo We are used to those. The best way of being annoying is to show you made an effort yet still be wrong. Such as pointing to Germany/Belgium (if your an American) or by congratulating Ajax for becoming the champion when it’s PSV. Or using “Holland” when you mean the Netherlands (although most people are used to that it one already).

But… I don’t think that is the tool you are looking for since that is an overview of slides and you are now describing media. At this point I think a personal knowledge management system such as https://obsidian.md/ is a better fit. It also has plugins for presentations and initiative tracker.
