My Ribbon Needle Book 🥰
I made it using that pretty ribbon, as the cover.
It holds a selection of needles, a few pins I use when stitching bindings, along with two of my needle threaders.

I was asked to teach my pictorial house quilt method, after sharing it with my quilt guild, which started me teaching other quilters. 🥰👏
10 years later, I created my Victoriana Quilt Designs website, and have been teaching through it, ever since. ❤️
Looking through some of my fabric buckets, I was reminded I still have this lovely fabric to play with. 👏🤩🤔

If you’ve been watching my videos, you will know how much I love these cotton trims. 🥰
Thankfully I have them in a bunch of colours! 👏
Another way I like to use them, is as a little lace ruff. 🪡🧵💙🩷
The spring and autumn seasons are the coldest in the house, as I don't always keep the woodstove going.
Cooler temperatures seem to aggravate the feline hyperesthesia Ember lives with, so a sunny window is always a good place to spend an afternoon.
To help with that, I've begun putting a hot water bottle, within a folded pillowcase, for her to lie on - which she gets quite excited about. 🥰
Finally got to begin some enjoyable hand stitching time, but then quickly stabbed my thumb, with the needle 🪡 , and now I need to wait until it stops bleeding 🩸 * , before I can start stitching again. 🙄
*who knew there’s a drop of blood emoji! 😆
…so I’m posting this while I wait, as I knew #quilters & #stitchers & #embroidery artists would understand! 😂

Here’s the fabrics I decided to use…
I traded the light blue swirly one for the plaid.
That light pink is exactly the same pink, as the light colour, in the darker rose pink fabric, so they look great together.
And the plaid blue is playing nicer, with the darker blue, than my previous choice. 😍👏
I’ve pulled these fabrics, out of my stash, to play together. 🤔
I’m now wondering if I should change the lighter fabrics to plaids? 😁🥰
The #Maritimes is going through a stretch of weather, that’s perfect for maple syrup 🍁 producers. 🤤👏
Daytime temps above freezing - teasing us that spring is on the way…falling back below freezing 🥶 at night, to remind us it’s still winter!

The whole Bits & Bobs quilt I’m working on, and my star will be added to, is blue & pink/rose, with a few darker versions for pop.
I enjoy the challenge of working with only two colours.
