@briankrebs@infosec.exchange I have no expectations regarding the orange one. What I wonder is when those who prop him up will say "enough". Their silence is sadder than his sociopathic behavior.

@briankrebs@infosec.exchange Regarding insistence on app . . . An unimpeachable source told me: "Business deals are like farts: if you have to force it, it’s probably shit"

@hal8999@infosec.exchange My comment was about lawyers.

@FluentInFinance@mastodon.social "And the president is exempt." 🤣

@davidho@mastodon.world@briankrebs@infosec.exchange Full disclosure: I'm older than dirt (most dirt anyway). When I was a child most of the heating and electricity was fueled by coal. It really wasn't that long ago...and that was in a big city. In many months the air was putrid. If you care about your lungs and your quality of life you'll want to care about greener alternatives to fossil fuels.

@briankrebs@infosec.exchange Reminds me of the movie "Analyze This" Dr. Ben Sobel: You don't hear the word "no" a lot, do you? Boss Paul Vitti: Well, I hear it all the time, only it's more like "no, please, no!"

@GossiTheDog@cyberplace.social Where do I get the hat ? ? ? 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

@Natasha_Jay@tech.lgbt Just hand someone at a store cash and you will get the "deer in the headlights" look.

@pluralistic@mamot.fr What is the level of phuckery beyond #enshittification ? I am constantly struggling with #google products. Disable one sharing setting and then they move the setting *and* add one more. They seem to be insatiable and inventing new "sharing" "features" at a rapid rate.

And today's prize goes to @GeriAQuin@mstdn.social

@Natasha_Jay@tech.lgbt when we lived in the city (as a child) my mother would share things across narrow spaces between houses with a broom stick. Houses were all brick...built in 1890's. Knob and tube wiring. Knife switch for circuit breaker.

RE: https://ec.social-network.europa.eu/@EUCommission/117004142842001982 Good news

@briankrebs@infosec.exchange Lord Acton was right almost 140 years ago: "𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐛𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲."

@SecureOwl@infosec.exchange 🤣

Is Jina a new country, or has he dictated a change to the maps again?

@holgersson@maly.io Many times when I question, it is truly to understand.

@briankrebs@infosec.exchange Light my Fire was one of the first 45's I bought. Crystal Ship was on the B side...a very good song. Both Manzarek and Krieger were good musicians.

@theeclecticdyslexic@mstdn.social @natpbs@mathstodon.xyz @gregeganSF@mathstodon.xyz This is my fear. Put aside physics of the plan. There has to be an end to cluttering earth orbit. Everybody who gets a "wild hair" can't be allowed to put whatever they want into orbit.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social Truly sad. Possibly more sad: they will never recognize how much this cost them....short term...and long term. I can say this now, but here would be my response if they asked me back

Woke up, fell out of bed Dragged a comb across my head Found my way downstairs and drank a cup And looking up, I noticed I was late Found my coat and grabbed my hat Made the bus in seconds flat Found my way upstairs and had a smoke And somebody spoke and I went into a dream

@kluthulhu@infosec.exchange @hacks4pancakes@infosec.exchange +1

Sometimes I think that we are presented with wisdom from unexpected places as a light: “People, I just want to say, you know, can we all get along? Can we get along? Can we stop making it, making it horrible for the older people and the kids? … It’s just not right. It’s not right. It’s not, it’s not going to change anything. [ …] Please, we can get along here. We all can get along. I mean, we’re all stuck here for a while. Let’s try to work it out. Let’s try to beat it. Let’s try to beat it. Let’s try to work it out. "

@kevlin@mastodon.social 💯

@kevlin@mastodon.social They are egregiously bad. Especially considering the state of AI these days. The only conclusion possible is that they are bad on purpose. That purpose is to discourage customers from seeking help so that company resources can be saved.

@briankrebs@infosec.exchange uh oh... "incoming"

@cR0w@infosec.exchange@briankrebs@infosec.exchange IPV6 is actually holding up very well 😁

Just having some fun while raising my electricity rates.

@briankrebs@infosec.exchange Cool. It seems that social media is nobody's friend.

@jerry@infosec.exchange Was a little slow to realize...but say no more.

@FluentInFinance@mastodon.social Where can someone who is not on mastodon see your mastodon posts? Can they see it by subscribing to your newsletter?

When will the people who prop him up say "enough"

@briankrebs@infosec.exchange Didn't seem any more worse than past updates. But my feelings about windows update weren't changed.

@Natasha_Jay@tech.lgbt My sister lived next door to a dog who could jump fences like that. The owner claimed that the dog learned from their cat. 🤷

@jerry@infosec.exchange for clarity: you are not cconcerned about direct issues with claude and infosec.exchange, but more about issues with claude and other mastodon and other social media that you do not wish to limit? (and would be harder to detect/block)

𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞: You can't make this "stuff" up. I wanted to send a picture to my PC, so I fired up KDE Connect on my phone. Sent the picture. Then went to IMDB to look up a movie. Almost immediately I got a "Welcome to IMDb, an Amazon company" email.

@holgersson@maly.io I hear ya. Just not my style. To your point, when I first saw the "removing french language pack" posts they made my head tilt like a puzzled dog. Poisoning LLMs is what Reddit is for.

#aidatacenters I can "totally" believe that data center *equipment* has to be updated every 2 to 3 years. But . . . does data center *infrastructure* really have to be abandoned every 2 to 3 years? https://www.youtube.com/shorts/G2D1llcZTT4

@briankrebs@infosec.exchange Anyone who believes in coal should google "Black Tuesday St. Louis" Black Tuesday in St. Louis refers to the severe air pollution event on November 28, 1939, when thick black smoke from burning soft coal combined with a temperature inversion to darken the sky so profoundly that streetlights were needed during midday. This event, often called "the day the sun didn't shine," reduced visibility to just a few feet, causing traffic paralysis and earning St. Louis a reputation as the nation's dirtiest city. I can tell you that 20 years later we were still dependent on coal and although the air was a bit better, it was still putrid and made me sick.

and yet another reason to eliminate coal: https://www.firstalert4.com/2026/07/26/crews-respond-coal-train-derailment-eureka/

@nixCraft@mastodon.social TBH, what I don't understand is why (other) people publish this command in social media without a disclaimer or so much as a smiley face. It's got to be out of meanness. I can't believe it's to be funny, because there are so many newbies and innocents out there.

Stolen from FaceBook. Just too good to resist
