"Human lives are not merely supported by nature: they are entangled with it, emerge from it, are enmeshed in it, nourished by it, and dependent on it in countless ways, from local to planetary. Humanity is an intimate part of nature, so development that undermines the living world ultimately undermines itself."

So Mamdani has gotten a TON of stuff done in New York in a very short period of time.
That would seem to indicate there always was a WAY.
There was just no WILL.
Glad to see #progress when the WILL points to the WAY.
There is still much to do. In so many places. More like him please?

On 3 August 1832, the first women's suffrage petition was presented to Parliament, starting a chain of events that led to women getting the same voting rights as their male counterparts. #RightToVote #progress #positivity
In 2022, nearly 200 years after it first became law, the Vagrancy Act of England and Wales was repealed - protecting our most vulnerable people by decriminalising begging and sleeping rough. #reasonstobegrateful #positivity #progress
Lauren Boebert files a trans military ban. Because that woman is a fucking bitch. Democrats unite to kill it, and tell her to fuck off. Four Republicans cross the aisle. A coalition doing the surprising, decent thing. Shocking right? #TransMilitaryBan #Boebert #Congress #Unity #Politics #LGBTQ #Hope #Bluesky #News #Progress

This afternoon I finally finished properly educating myself on the subject of DCC addressing with respect to sensors, and specifically how sensor boards work on LocoNet - and that block occupancy seniors occupy the same addressable space as, say, point feedback sensors.
Now that probably seems obvious but what wasn’t obvious to me was how YaMoRC sensors get their LocoNet ID - just subtract 1 from the first address and then divide by 16 and add 1. Took a bit of experimentation but now I have six IDs for Digitrax boards and four for YaMoRC boards, with no overlapping addresses 🤦🏻 and space for growth (that I almost definitely don’t need).
Now I’m just writing up documentation before I reconfigure JMRI. It’s a big step forward even though it doesn’t look like one.
