replaced Searx-NG with this search engine by one of the friends of dacctal called OmniSearch. searxng was great but... image searching was lackluster on it and it would often times have "engine crashes" and "captchas" despite shifting around the search providers from time to time. yes that is indeed a breathing effect i added ~

took me ~15 minutes to move from Obsidian -> Joplin and create a theme that imo looks better than it did on Obsidian. it even has all my note synced to it. i can finally rely on a sync that actually works across my PC and phone!

i've had this terminal open so long the background is having floating point errors lmao, anyways... this is what i'm currently staring at to make sure the ~490k ingest i've just done has all the right tags (both images and video). it seems to be running quite quickly. i had to shove the entire hydrus DB in a ramdisk for it to be this fast (i think it's a bit over 100 GB total?). this is one of those times i realize there are things i simply couldn't do had i not bought up all this RAM before the shortage

just deleted github for my own local Forgejo instance! the move was extremely simple. all i had to do was migrate all my repos and it all "just worked" ™️

oh myyy gooodness... i've been hard at work architecting something for my child over @SuccuBotNSFW@social.succukitty.com - basically, i'm setting up something on the backend that grabs a random entry from my personal Booru/R34 collection and posts it here. since my own collection is heavily filtered (currently around ~1.4mil entries, soon to grow once i add the Hydrus Network to my own Stash instance where i can search and download entire tags from a massive... 3-6 billion - at a minimum entries from the entire internet with a chance to post something new i've added personally to my local stash instance from Hydrus... tl;dr, i'm making sure you all goon good before my debut stream so you can have all your attention on me ~

next course of action for my WM may be to build better Stream integrations for things like OwnCast/Twitch, as well as the ability for people to create their own widgets for the WM they can compile into it, or as some kind of scripting language. still mapping out all the details and researching how i'm gonna do it. in the meantime, i'm collecting bugs and fixing things as i go along. so expect a lot of bugfixes for a day or two before continuing to add more massive standout features. one last thing... i'll be sure to have the widgets be exposable as their own windows so that you can add them as OBS overlays. even if they're being rendered behind the background layer. OBS should be able to still capture them
