Since a few days, our moderation team is litterally spammed with many generic trending hashtags to review. These are created by several accounts hosted on mastodon.hongkongers.net which create posts with many generic hashtags which are published several times, resulting in those hashtags all appearing in trends. This is considered abusive, weighing on the efforts of our moderation team to review, and diluting the trending hashtags in too big a list, which becomes irrelevant. Therefore, our instance shall silence mastodon.hongkongers.net to avoid this hashtag abuse. We managed to reduce urbanists.social DB size in Jan, which cut $60/mo off of the burn rate, but that has crept back up by $10/mo despite tootctl statuses remove, and now we're back at that $50 jump in masto.host pricing plans while still not quite hitting $150/mo in donations. Anybody got a solution for the 12GB preview_cards table? #mastodonAdmin
