Hello #Fediverse! This is a quick #introduction now that The Writing Cooperative is on the @medium@me.dm instance.
TWC is Medium's largest publication of support, encouragement, and tips for #writers and the #writing community. It's run by @justin@cox.rocks (that's me!).
How should TWC use this space on Mastodon? Share links to our posts? Post discussion questions? Some other way?

The conversation about #AI generated #writing has many facets, though we advocate for responsible use of the tools. This includes fact-checking all claims and attribution of AI assistance.
CNET did neither of these things and published dozens of AI-generated articles that provided inaccurate advice. If you need a primer on how *not* to use AI as a #writer, this is clearly it.
What are your thoughts on AI tools?

Oh, um, hello to the over 1,000 of you who now follow this account! 👋🏻
I ( @justin@cox.rocks ) am still trying to figure out how best to represent TWC on Mastodon. Thank you for your suggestions and patience while I explore options.
One promise: this won't be an automated link-posting account.
We #writers can help breed a resurgence of the community-driven internet. Not only is it more fun, but it connects us through ideas and reflects that we’re all individuals, not some polished brand.
Our words are powerful, and so are the audiences that read them. Let’s invest in spaces that build us up, not profit from molding us into their image.
How are you escaping the attention economy?
Attention #WritingCommunity: I (@justin@holonet.social) would like to get to know more of you and what you write about. So, #WritersOnMastodon, let’s do an old fashioned #WritersLift!
Reply and share who you are, what you write, and where we can find it. I’ll share some of you all in an upcoming newsletter. Please #boost to share the word.
