i have told this story before, but. i did physics with christina koch at university; once while working on an assignment she mentioned wanting to be an astronaut.

well. after implementing weak maps and refs, wastrel compilation of the hoot repl seems to work. some trimming needed to make backtraces not show frames that are part of the implementation, and polish as always, but i gasped audibly when it first gave me a prompt!
