William Blackerby
Apparently I'm a librarian. Retooting, mainly.
This book is really good: https://www.pearson.com/en-us/subject-catalog/p/linux-applications-programming-by-example-the-fundamental-apis/P200000012469/9780135325520.
I'm not that far into it yet, slowly chipping away at chapter 4 exercises, but can say so far that it's not hand-holdy, but not intractable. The author acknowledges that there are things readers won't understand when they're first introduced, and that's okay. Oddly enough it reminds me of the style of Reginald Foster's Ossa Latinitatis Sola---presenting certain phenomena of a language, in context, in this case V7 Unix.

Yes, Second Life! I went to library school after Second Life but before the current AI moment. Linked Data was still going strong though. I'm so curious to know how AI is being handled in library school curricula.
I can't stop thinking about this
This is another thing I can't stop thinking about: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patriot_(TV_series).
Babe wake up, a bunch of Alabama tunes from Kerry Blech's collection were just added to Slippery Hill https://www.slippery-hill.com/content/kerry-blech-collection-alabama
Some very cool stuff here

Had Black Flag's "TV Party" been written in 2026, it would be "AI Party"
Don't talk about anything else
We don't wanna know!
After a real "when someone shows you who they are, believe them" moment tonight, I am more excited about an upcoming location change than I was before.
