mastodon 4.7.3+vivaldimodI do techie stuff, code and play with vintage computers. I’m at a point in my life now that I do not care for new tech because the industry has changed for the worse.
I will unfollow or mute all political, internet drama and extreme right and left opinions posts and users. I’m not here for negativity, I’m here for a positive interaction with good people.
If you don’t like it, you can peace out, deuces and ghost right out of here. ✌️

@readbeanicecream@mastodon.social Very interesting article. Thanks for sharing.

@gedeonm@mastodon.social @chockenberry@mastodon.social @bigzaphod@mastodon.social It truly is amazing how far this app has come on both platforms, iOS and MacOS. Thank you for all the hard work to get to this point and continued future features. It is nice not having to jump out of #TapestryApp to do many of these other tasks such as posting.

@thomasfuchs@hachyderm.io Twitter sure brings out the worst in people. All their inside voices become outside voices.

@_elena@mastodon.social That is such a nice clean UI.
One day I will jailbreak my old 7th generation Kindle.
Slowly getting off American big tech and most of their other services. As much as possible and I will adapt to alternatives.
I'm tired of the politics and US focused drama in tech and the world. This is double and triple the stress we went through during this clown's first term.
If you have favourite websites with lists of alternative software and services that are not based in the US, please share and thank you in advance.
Took an old Thinkpad out of the closet and installed Fedora Linux. My next step on getting off Big Tech.
So far I got Vivaldi, Ecosia, Mastodon and Proton services. The more EU alternatives I can adapt to, I feel better.
There are many search engines out there but results vary. For now i'm giving Ecosia a try for general searches.
https://alternativeto.net is a good website to give yourself ideas.
I know some people care about the bickering drama between Apple and OpenAI but we should stop caring about corporations.
Unless you’re a journalist forced to write this crap. Can’t imagine anyone cares who is right or wrong.
It’s unfortunate that shared articles in posts here are not reviewed beforehand.
I need to see pop ups for subscription signups, cookie consent dialogs and App Store downloads for their app. Impossible to read, so why even share it?
What has the internet turned into?! 😬
This morning I went for a walk and was happy that everyone I passed replied to my Good Morning. All ages too.
Sometimes I wonder if teenagers get creeped out by someone older saying Good Morning or if it's a refreshing moment to remind them that there are nice people out there still.
So Google Maps is claimed to be number one from most drivers.
This time it was redirecting people fleeing local wildfires to forest service back roads back to the fire. 🤦♂️
Is anyone using #mastodon collections? I never see it on anyone’s profile and have no idea how to follow.
Woke up this morning and no #TapestryApp update unfortunately. Hope it appears soon in the App Store.
Ubiquiti UniFi router is failing and I’m ready to pull out an old Eero router. Support told me the fan isn’t working from the logs and it seems to get so hot that it just crashes and every device loses connectivity. Unplugging the power is the only solution.
I have warranty for another four days but Ubiquiti is dragging their support with me. Ugh. Any good suggestions for a router?

Brings a smile to my face watching this camping video. Wish my life was like this, me and a dog.

@mcg@social.lol The waiting has been hard. Hope it still comes out tomorrow and Apple doesn’t hold the Mac version behind longer.
