fairplayer.band (the instance) will play music that the #faircamp site owners have explicitly entrusted us to play (they have done this by signing up and providing a proof of website/faircamp ownership). We can make no implicit assumption about what other things we can do with their music, so we won't, until we can formalise some sort of consent mechanism.
Aquest article és llarg però trobo que l'anàlisi que fa val molt la pena i aporta molts punts interessants.

Em fa la sensació que es "cuida" més el parc com a indret recreatiu per a les persones que no com a un dels pocs pulmons verds i zones de biodiversitat de la ciutat. Per exemple, al parc del Guinardó hi tenim identificades més de 30 espècies d'ocells residents o estacionals. Hi ha molts pocs llocs com aquest a la ciutat, que resultin llocs de pau i acollidors per als no humans.

@fairplayer@social.anartist.org one of my discoveries has been "Greenhouses and Other Oddities on or within the Moons of Neptune"... being the second longest album name (the kind of things that stretch our UX team 😅) it got me intrigued. Although not yet formalised as such, for me fairplayer.band the instance is co-owned by all contributors (those who contribute to the tool, those that bring in the content, those that do community building and communication, whoever pays the hosting bills, etc...). We share the work, we should share the decision making as well.

També, irònicament, el mètode etíop col·lectiu emfatitza l'autoconeixement, agència i escoltar el propi cos... mentre que el mètode individualitzat "enginyeril" reforça la dependència de tecnologia externa.

Voldria fer alguna acció col.lectiva de queixa o demanar explicacions sobre aquestes pràctiques, com podem fomentar una gestió d'espais verds que no sigui "d'ajardinament" sino amb criteris ecològics ben fonamentats, de gestió

The longer answer is, the kinds of APIs or protocols I think we should be focusing on solving are those around content federation - among tools that share a vision of a decentralized platform, built as a digital commons (libre or freedom-enhancing software). Parties that set up explicit federation agreements, where they recognise each other as peers, and have the explicit consent of creators - they establish a bond of mutual trust.

This may include explicit licensing or compensation agreements that are acceptable to all parties (not just the platform admins but the content creators as well).

Building trust is really hard and losing it can be very easy. In our case we have gained the trust of early participants by having direct conversations (in person, via videoconference or email) and explaining more of our vision going forward. These early participants help spread the word and let others trust us, with fewer context.

N'hi ha un parell que apliquen clarament:
"Ajudar les usuàries a moderar el consum", amb punts d'aturada naturals (p.e. "escoltar només fins el final d'aquest àlbum")
"Exposar usuàriess a perspectives diverses", oferint recomanacions de música que se surti del què escoltes habitualment (per contra de simplement "reforçar els teus gustos musicals amb coses similars o que agraden a la majoria").

We are aware we need to spend more time explaining what the project is, what it is not, and what it aims to be. That is also a high priority for us, probably higher than building any features, at the moment.

Crec que hi ha algun argument relacionat amb prevenció d'incendis, però imagino que hi ha altres maneres menys agressives de fer aquesta prevenció? No fa la sensació que hi hagi una activitat diligent p.e. a prevenir o recollir la brossa (ampolles de vidre, llaunes) que malhauradament és habitual d'un parc que atreu gent que ve a fer el pícnic de pujada als bunkers. O més mesures per a prevenir l'erosió i fomentar un sòl que retingui millor la humitat.

If you like a challenge...see if you can find the longest album name... our current UI won't make that easy 😂 but I can tell you there is only one longer than Flavigula's.

@jamesmarshall @fairplayer definitely agree with you that pay per listen should be compensated "by the minute" not "by song".
I ask myself whether "pay by song" encourages cutting up integral works into smaller pieces. The mechanics of compensation shouldn't condition the creative process and integrity of the artwork.
