Over the last week, I've rewritten my static website generator in #rust. I'm happy with the results: https://flavigula.net though I'll probably be tweaking it over the next few epochs.
I used this opportunity to actually learn Rust, as I only knew it sketchily before. I can't claim I'm any sort of expert now, but I've certainly climbed that ladder quite a bit.
The code is at https://codeberg.org/flavigula/flavigula_net_rust if anyone is interested! :)

I'm listening to my copy of #StrategiesAgainstAlgorithms for the first time! I'm three songs in and it as already brilliant. Thanks, @stephan@sonomu.club !!
I've decided to remaster a few #ambient (-ish) improvisations from the last few years. Here is the first one. I am quite fond of it. I hope it also bathes your morning (or afternoon, evening, midnight) with sonic goopiness. Enjoy!

Today's morning #ambient #improvisation featuring my newly repaired #Baklengs and the mighty #purpll.
The last three improvisations (following the same calm, slowly morphing "formula" as the recent stuff) I've done over the last week or so are up here: https://ululations.thurk.org/drifting-chords/
Enjoy as you sip either tea, coffee, green-juice of your choice, vodka or a combination.

I also agree that culture is a ongoing process that humans shape as they interact. It also functions on any number of levels, from the more slowly evolving culture of, say, a large land mass, to the rich and fast moving culture of a group of tight knit friends or a family.
All culture is also influenced by forces outside of its main "bubble". The degree to which outside ideas shape it depends on the permeability of that bubble.

I'm on my fourth listen and it is better every time.
Concerning Einstürzende Neubauten, I saw them in Praha in 2004 (or 5?) on the Perpetuum Mobil tour. Great stuff.

Though we've never discussed Einstürzende Neubauten, I imagine he does know of its existence.
I wrote a piece of music.

The Mantic Flex Pro looks right up my alleyway. I'll look around. There's nothing on Reverb currently.
I'm glad you like the Improv. I rather liked it myself and I'm usually much too self-critical. I usually don't wander too far into mixolydian joyfulness because I never feel I can transition FROM it in a "convincing" way, but it seems to have worked this time.

Of course you can play anything that I've done. No need to ask. :) And thanks again.

I'll be in Zürich on 20 July at Exil club to see Nik Bärtsch. If anyone is in the area around then, let me know!

I get ya. I guess I don't think about style very much when I make music. Though 5/4 isn't necessarily prog, especially if the song asked for it. Sounds cool. I suppose this will be on the next album!
