Today is #EarthDay. Fittingly, I have my old Game Boy sitting on the table. This thing is over 30 years old, has outlasted countless batteries, and still works perfectly. 🕹️🌱
When we talk about sustainability in the tech industry, that’s exactly where we need to go back to: devices that are repairable, last a long time, and don’t suffer from planned obsolescence after two years. Disposable electronics are a bug in our economic system, not a feature.

How sustainable are you when it comes to your tech?
Do you repair things yourself?

Good morning, everyone! ☕️

The coffee’s brewing, and Germany is once again suffering from its annual Eurovision hangover. Sarah Engels came in 23rd place and received a dismal 0 points from the public.

And before anyone starts chanting the old mantra, “All of Europe hates us!”: No, that’s not the reason. It’s because #SWR manages pop culture like a PowerPoint presentation. A watered-down, completely risk-free radio pop song, approved by committees, simply fails miserably at the #ESC. The ESC demands risk, courage, artistry, and polarization—the exact opposite of German formulaic radio.
As long as we send the lowest common denominator to Europe, we’ll remain insignificant. 🤷‍♂️

Did you watch yesterday? Who was your true winner?

What are your plans for this weekend? What are you working on, what are you reading, or are you just going to relax on the couch today? Have a great weekend! 👇

The U.S. wants to withdraw some of its troops from Germany—and to be honest: I think that’s a good thing! 👏
These bases are relics of the Cold War. Worse still: they serve as logistical hubs for U.S.-led wars in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. It’s time we stopped being the launchpad for foreign military operations. And if, as a result, American nuclear weapons finally disappear from Germany, that would be a real win for peace.🕊️✌️
