The #Alzheimer Society sent me a card because somebody made a donation in memory of my dad. It's exactly my kind of dark humour that they inlcluded a packet of flower seeds. They're Forget-Me-Nots. I know it's intended to be comforting, but I think it's hilarious.

If you are able, I'm sure the Alzheimer Society in your area would appreciate a donation.

Who among you has thought that their toaster needed a touch screen? This is baffling me. I set the controls on my toaster and never touch them again. I would much prefer a toaster where I could actually get all the crumbs out of the damn thing.

Finally caught the cold my wife has had for a week. This coffee is 100% necessary.

Overheard a hilarious exchange between a barista and customer about her coffee order

"A 16 oz coffee with oat milk, please."

"Coffee without milk. Got it."

"No. With oat milk."

"Yeah, without milk."

Like Abbott and Costello, it was.

My wife hates it when I drink tea out of this mug, but I do it anyway because I'm a rebel with a devil-may-care attitude who doesn't play by the rules.

We don't have COVID, thank goodness, but this house hasn't been sicker since that week in 2022.

The Starbucks in my local Indigo (Chapters) book store has been closed for a few years now, but the sign is still up. I get sad every time I'm there.

My wife and I got married in 2010. We have a really nice photo of us with our respective families on either side of us. I just realized the other day that everyone on my side of the photo is dead.

Yesterday, as if I were a proud father, I stood by and watched as my teenage daughter attempted to use a bottle opener on a screw-top glass bottle.

That feeling when you have to make a weird face when you're trimming your moustache and little tiny hairs fall right into your open mouth.
