I am working on the upcoming release of the @manfred_app@techhub.social, it will contain some nice features and improvements:

• Tooltips for hashtags and profiles
• Higlighting of followed hashtags in posts
• When adding alt text to images, there should now be enough space on phones
• Hashtags now get a graph drawn, like you may know it from other clients
• Search (aka Discover) and Notifications now get a special handling in the column ecosystem of Manfred – this is still kind of work in progress, though
• The grouped list of avatars in notifications and on a profile now always open a bottom up sheet when tapped or clicked
• Under #macOS you can now CMD+F to search

It is really nice to see the power of #Flutter making this possible for #macOS, #Android and #iOS with a single codebase.

I'll never get why people waste their time giving free apps one-star ratings, even if they work well enough but just don't have some feature they're looking for. It really bugs me. #Developer #AppStore #MastodonClient

Today I learned about crux, a cross platform approach that separates the business logic of an app in a core written in #Rust. This core can then be used within different frontend technologies like #Flutter, Swift-UI.

I also emphasise the importance of separating business logic from view technology. I am doing the same with Dart/Flutter using the Business Logic Components (BLoC) pattern instead. I think this is totally sufficient for my apps. With crux however, you are prepared to change the whole stack around the business logic.
