Um, ICE is sending goons to a Marine induction ceremony to pick up family members. Why would they honor a truce with FIFA? The world should boycott this World Cup. @theseattletimes@flipboard.com

@gruber@mastodon.social Any thoughts on why Tim Apple is attending the Melania screening at the White House tonight? WTF is happening with that guy?

@sundogplanets@mastodon.social Thank you, Doctor. It looks really hard, but I'm grateful that you're there leading the fight. Even if our own government is butts-to-nuts full of fuckweasels.
We're working on the tribunals down here, keep working on the stars up there. We love you.
The California Gubernatorial Debate is amazing. The two right wing weirdos running for the job are clearly living on Earth 2. Bonkers. This is running on Nexstar stations, which should help explain the slant. I really hope that voters are watching this and are alarmed by the cruelty.

@AuthorJMac I quit I.T. so that I could start a new writing career. I learned this week that a substantial part of my copywriting job will now be programming a computer through a prompt to do the writing that I used to do last week.

@analogfusion @AuthorJMac I think businesses will give their technical writing jobs and my copywriting niche to AI only if they can tolerate bad or hallucinatory writing. Otherwise, we're still going to be needed—at least for a little while longer.

@christine I love this. Thankfully, my puppy dog reliably sleeps in the same chair at the same time I log in every morning. Call me...

Domestic rooftop solar and SUV uptake are answers to the same problem, I think. Crumbling transportation infrastructure got people out of cars and into high clearance vehicles with high-sidewall tires and rugged suspensions. Similarly, a blackout or two, or a $500+ monthly electric bill will force a homeowner to get creative. Zero down? Sure, why not?
