@HG I would suggest the magnifier if they have more vision left iPhone and all the Apple stuff has select to speak, or reader mode, without even activating stuff like voiceover. I am not sure of what Windows and Android have. Maybe dislexic fonts would also help? Even if the nice elders do not have dislexia per se. In that regard, though, freedom scientific is great, but also expensive; both professional and business, at least here. Voiceover has a tutorial, and if the nice elderly humans have issues like shaking hands, or the inability to use a phone that well, the fact VO(Voiceover) requires double taps and multifinger scrolling might help, who knows. I know NVDA and talkback are free, and talkback's tutorial is pretty easy and makes sense. NVDA requires downloading, and a bit of setup to work, but so does JAWS by freedomcientific. It all depends on what devices and budget you got available. Read mode, spoken content, on iOS is the simplest mode. You just select text, and the voice reads it, if it's turned on. grab everyone's iPhe and turn on. I also want to add a note, that d folks should absolutel able, and feel free to answer ask questi. Just own opinion, because I saw posting sighted folks shouldn't answer. I think. they should. contrast, colours, are tools of accessibility which help, so, different things for different folks.

@garrwolfdog Yep, I agree, happy survival to all, and happy awareness. Because awareness brings knowledge, knowledge can bring tolerance and even acceptance by other, and break the stigma.

@garrwolfdog Now I wonder if OSDD is included in the day, or there's just not much awareness, or people look at DID with all of the stuff combined. Now I have to wonder... Since, there are simularities, but also, my experience differs from yours, and probably everyone's does. Anyway,, it's a good day to be proud of one's self, but we should all also be proud of ourselves all the time, every time, of the year, for what we've achieved.

@garrwolfdog Spreading awareness is good, so I boosted. osdd here, but honestly, I don't talk much about it either. Be safe, and happy. The road to a good functioning life is hard, but it's just one more thing to deal with, I guess. So happy awareness day of DID to you. Must specify that happy is for awareness, and not the condition itself. And you get a random free virtual friendly hug from space. :)

@garrwolfdog Yep, and we don't even have DID or OSDD patients here, I had to do extensive research. Even then, I am not putting definitive labels on myself, though it feels good to be able to categorise the experience of five plus years of research, at least for my own sake, to figure out what the heck is wrong with I, me, and my own self, and how life impacted me. Taught me a lot of coping techniques, though, so I don't regret diving into stuff. I did play the game of excluding half the manuals, first. By consulting professionals, though, with no definitive diagnoses, I know many people will question my experiences. Not that I care. I just know that my own treatments, even if done by a lot of reading and practicing, have helped me become functional. I hope you have received treatment, or are undergoing something, and have reached a point in life where you can say to yourself that even if you had to go through many things, you're still standing, still here, even if you have company. But then, life is not meant to be lived alone, to cope with things alone, and that meaning seems to be deeply engraned into our brains, for some odd reason. Else, why would we be at this point? And you get more free virtual hugs. Because hugs should always be free, and should be given in great piles of kindness and hugs. :)

@quanin @KaitlynAmira @simon @Estrella Yes, this. Partners complement each other, not disrespect each other. Also, it's christmas, so let's all try to have some fun. The sad part is that this whole experience really shows something about life, the humans in it and I can't say it more delicately, I guess. No settling for less, girl. Love is either unconditional, or it's not love, it's something else. I also give hugs, everyone gets my awesome, famous hugs. :)

@Cam It's do to YouTube's monetising policies. Swear words, no money for that person who spent hours making a video. Simple as that. Whether we get annoyed or not, what is even the point? Why get annoyed when you can't immediately and directly change something? Just ignore and move on, or at least be indifferent to it and still enjoy the video. That's just my take on it, and I've seen it for years now.

@Tamasg Awww. Well, yeah had it since I was little too, or what I can remember of myself. I don't take any meds just magnesium but also uh no nooo no meds I used to take a hormone balancer, messed up with my already screwed up head... Don't take it anymore, either. You should know our cultures, very much both, aren't in favour of meds. :D Also, see if you can look up info on that, sounds fascinating antidepressants help you. But also they're a drug and you can get addicted, wow.

You can't judge me or any such thing if I wanna read a book, or buy a book, etc. Or because I may disagree with certain views and points. Freedom of speech, or something. How about that? I try not to get into things like that and skip a lot, but not when I'm flooded with them, thank you very much. I tolerate people, and respect people for who they are, but some of the things are a bit too extreme for old me. :)

It is also really and I mean really bad to have, and use the ability to record users especially without their consent. I call this as it is, a privacy violation. I've not personally used the volunteer option, but now I want to use it even less after knowing this fact. Will you acknowledge my own personal truth of it being a violation? Also, truth is truth. It is not independent unless it's a self-realised truth. Making someone acknowledge one's personal opinion by calling it an independent truth is, quite frankly arrogant and wrong. You could also acknowledge my truth about Android being nonsense. But that's a personal opinion, and not a truth. If you feel like getting recorded, keep protecting privacy violation. I don't think I will stand for that. There's also the fact that no one needs to acknowledge anyone's truth, or that there's anyone who's wrong or right. What is abhorrently wrong, is being recorded on a call wit a stranger who's supposed to help you out. Whether you, and I mean explicidly you, believe this is wrong, and we should advocate for it, or whether you decide to protect them is your personal opinion. There's one other true here, though. That if we do not advocate for ourselves, we'll be taken advantage of all the time, and we will not be getting help or the necessities for a better life.
