Here, take some flowers because tomorrow is Monday. Every Sunday of July, I was at the farm, painting with my farm buddies. I never thought I'd enjoy it so much. At the end of the day as I leave, I take a photo of this flower patch by the gate. #BloomScrolling #UrbanFarm #SundayFlowers

Another unexpected (for me at least) benefit of a short yoga break at home is that you are making the time for yourself. Solo hiking is my form of meditation usually, but right now I cannot leave home; but now YouTube yoga sessions are giving me the soothing moments that I really need at the moment. If you are a caregiver, nursing a heavy heart, under a stress that you can't talk about... I highly recommend it. You are not alone. #TakeCare #caregiver

Despite this being a quick sketch, it may actually get entered to a miniature contest in October -- it's been very popular so far! "The Star of the Farm" pastel on homemade surface - 5x4.5 in https://www.dailypaintworks.com/fineart/tamami-tokutake/the-star-of-the-farm/1225581 Painted at Reno Food Systems Farm. He is definitely the star of the farm, or at least he thinks so. It was a much-needed relaxing day. #MastoArt #PastelArtist #FarmAnimals #HumanMade

Now, I've had several books I read that I really enjoyed, but I didn't "get" -- with several different degrees of "not gettingness." I definitely wished I could discuss that and see what I'd missed. But maybe that would have really discouraged me... #BookClub

A local, woman-owned small business that produces my favorite soap just announced that she's closing the business. I instantly ran to another woman-owned shop that sells the soap, and bought 80% of what they had (compelled to leave some for other fans). Very sad but I'm sure she has other plans. Whatever it is, I'm here for it.
This is the entrance of the lovely shop called Sierra Water Garden, for the Reno locals.... Isn't it just lovely?

The sixth page is done. The theme is, obviously, faces. I wasn't paying attention to the demographics while I was collecting the faces from catalogues/magazines/packaging, but it looks like I didn't come across many Asian women's faces. #MastoArt #Inchies #collage #design

I framed it this morning and took it to a show. When the piece is so small, a float frame treatment works well, but it does make me nervous. I hope it won't fall down!

I consider myself a skeptic in general. Science over opinions. At the same time (breathe) I love ghost stories. I don't even know if I believe in ghosts. But I love ghost stories.

So, tell me a story, the one you actually experienced. Thank you.

I also did some framing, because I have two group shows in July/August. Compared to last year when I had shows back-to-back-to-back, it's been fairly quiet this year. And that means very little sales. These are both plein air pieces. For the locals, the right one (with two more) goes to the show at Wilbur D. May Museum in Reno (July), and the left (along with 5 more pieces) goes to North Tahoe Arts at Tahoe City (July/August). #MastoArt #PastelArtist #pleinair #landscapepainting
