1. Today is my birthday and I've made it to 40. In passing conversation with teen daughter and her friends I mentioned this, one of them said "wow I thought you were older!" "But like not in a bad way!" lols all around. I said, "oh, that's the wisdom. Really shows in the face."
2. Puppies slurping and cronching watermelon.
3. Pride Celebrations happening this weekend in my town! I love knowing folks are out right now partying and living their gayest lives. All love! Happy pride!

2. Having a place to live and put all my stuff and sleep and use the bathroom. The privilege of such seems so precarious in my life, and the lives of my "tent city" neighbors and those who sleep in corners and sit in a daze, terrified of existence since it is such a grand cruelty, all the time.

1. Trying a different place to amble along in the woods.
2. Rain Rain Rain. You can hear it close, rumbling. Smell it, sense it, feel it a drop at a time and depending on mood, if you're lucky, you can enjoy it. Face to sky. Rubbing it clean with both hands and sputtering on what lands between my lips. No smiling or laughing could I muster. Just vivid and tangible relief felt. I was feeling lucky.
