sidenote: honestly github as a platform ignoring its outsges and microsoft and ai is still trash. like compare to gitlab. no groups, no automatic syncing mirrors, no snippets, no issue weights, doesnt have half of gitlabs features. also why i dont rly like forgejo either its too simplistic. onedev is a nice alternative though.

as much as i dont like it i dont think suing will do anything, because technically they didn't do anything wrong, you did choose to publish your things publicly, and they just downloaded it.
i think what we need is more defined regulations on what can be used for training. it's hard to draw a line though, what if someone wanted to scrape just a little bit of data to train their own hobby model? i'd be fine with that.
