Calm the fuck down guys, this heat wave is completely normal and we've had things like this in the past, too!! Two weeks ago, for example.
I‘m so deeply disgusted by those who just fell into the AI pot without thinking twice about its social and ecological cost, without even trying to exercise their self control muscle, only driven by their short term self interest and excitement.
Oh, to have a primate brain, unfit for modern times. I wish there was some form of escape from the human experience.
I've completely lost any interest in coding, and it ABSOLUTELY SUCKS, not to a small part because it's my source of income.
I‘m just a relatively complex system of ever firing neurons.

@mattiem@mastodon.social I applaud your sentiment and yet I think it’s little more than unfruitful activism, only calming the own mind a bit: AAPL simply won’t notice, let alone care. Real change comes from the power of the masses, in my opinion. I‘d love to join some sort of union lead by ‚big‘ and thus impactful Apple platform developers! Heck, even an open letter by people like @cabel@social.panic.com @marcoarment@mastodon.social etc. would be a start that could cause an avalanche – just like your blog post, but bigger!
