This whole Venvi thing isn't great. It loads poorly, collects analytics, and the official app isn't compatible with GrapheneOS, apparently. #anthrocon #anthrocon2026

@KayOhtie nobody tell younger generations this, but they're just colors. it's not like millennials invented green or the color palettes that go with it.
the most offensively green decor I've ever seen in homes was always from way, way older generations and like... 15 years ago lol.
Creating a light switch cover for rocker-style light switches because I know I need to rewire this light switch eventually, but for now, not accidentally flipping it will do. One holds magnets with glue, the other is a print-in-place model without the need for glue. Toggleable via spreadsheet between 6mm and 8mm magnet diameters. #FreeCADFriday #3DPrinting

@gc@mstdn.social So here's a good guide I found and I'm linking directly to the CW part: https://github.com/joyeusenoelle/GuideToMastodon#what-does-cw-mean
But the rest of the guide is pretty good too.

@gc@mstdn.social I'm also kind of curious about that. I mean it's easy enough to restrict your posts to your followers and use CW then, but for posts that end up searchable on Local/Federated? No idea.

@gc@mstdn.social @BeerFox@mstdn.social Anyway I'm certainly not paying $8 to make fun of a clown. That's all I'm saying.

@iFixit I have an old Late 2013 15" Macbook Pro that I'm still keeping alive thanks to tools and parts from iFixit. Battery replacement, keyboard/top case, etc. all swapped out and soon it'll be running Linux so it can continue having a happy life.

@not_steve@furries.club I always have higher expectations of Abus, but I'm sure they like their profit margins like all the other lock companies out there

@gc@mstdn.social @BeerFox@mstdn.social I like (read: don't) how this is all unfolding like one really bad midlife crisis. Why buy an old American muscle car you can wreck when you can buy an entire old social media site that you can also wreck? 🤔
