Omg, I JUST remembered Loading Ready Run, from my early days of being online, so I went to the website, fully expecting it to have gone defunct in like 2012, but NO! It's still being updated in 2025! And best of all, the website still looks like it did in 2004! (Which is also reminiscent of 1998.) But sadly, the video I particularly wanted to watch doesn't seem to play. I suspect the original video host actually has gone defunct with YouTube taking over the video world.

@AbandonedAmerica@mastodon.social that's good to hear! Even if it doesn't work, I know there's people who would want that CRT monitor and lots of other stuff, beyond just melting it down for scrap.
I occasionally think about the multi-level motorcycle shop you photographed, and my heart hurts for the items lost inside.

@AbandonedAmerica@mastodon.social There's so many cool antiques in there... I hope they let someone in to pick through anything salvageable before tearing the factory down.

@suearcher@toot.wales @Edent@mastodon.social I feel like planting and harvesting rice the old fashioned way might be easier than chipping off enough little grains to feed an entire village for a year.

@BoredomFestival@sfba.social @Edent@mastodon.social so, besides sautéing it in soy sauce, or in lemon and garlic, either being quite tasty, I never said you had to *eat* it... just cooking it makes it disappear!🤭🤭
