My insurance company's pharmacy group called me and asked me to provide my birth date so that they could talk with me about my prescriptions. For security. THEY CALLED ME. And somehow they think this is a good security procedure. It was probably legit, but NO, I'm not going to support a process that expects their customers to engage in poor infosec practices.

I started the month actually heeding the reminder and giving my dogs their flee/tick/heartworm chews on time. So, as you can imagine, I'm feeling pretty good about myself today.
Ba-dee-ya @macosken@mastodon.social. Ba-dee-ya!
During the summer months, I love that I’m responsible for the gas bill, and he’s responsible for the electric. Winter…well, that’s a different story.
I don't typically post selfies, but I'm a sucker for a cozy flannel shirt, and I'm particularly proud of this $16 find from Bass Pro's clearance rack yesterday. #flannel #mirrorselfie
I might have added a little too much butter to the mashed potatoes.
I KNOW. I didn't even know that was possible!
I just saw Project Hail Mary.
They did good good good.
Me: I can't find my keys.
My inner voice: You have an Apple Tag on your keyring. Just use Find My.
Me: I tried that.
Voice: And?
Me:
Voice: You let the battery die, didn't you?
Good gods, doesn’t he ever
shut
up?
I want to watch some post-shit-show commentary, but I’m about to give up and go to bed.
I just finished listening to the oral arguments in the birthright citizenship case before the Supreme Court. I truly hope that when John Sauer speaks, it hurts just as much as it sounds it does.
“When they go low, we go high” didn’t work.
I believe we need to vote YES to redistricting in Virginia.
Fair warning: this isn’t the last time I’ll say this.
I'm curious if Bondi wants to talk about the Dow right now?
Supposedly it's warm out today. I'm in a hoodie. 🤷♂️ Aging is weird.
Well, that’s one way to screw with elections at the 11th (9th) hour. The beauty of this Texas stay is that it could benefit Talarico, who likely has a better chance of unseating the republican candidate than Crockett. Manipulative ≠ smart.
I'm judging you by how you load the dishwasher.
Why are we even having a conversation about a 79-year-old candidate for a 6-year seat in congress??? https://nebraskaexaminer.com/2026/03/30/nebraska-dem-senate-candidate-voted-for-trump-attended-conservative-training-session/
@macosken@mastodon.social Went to the Apple Store to see these this weekend. They're nice. I don't need one, but if I hadn't just bought a new laptop for my workshop last year, I'd probably get one of these.
I listened to @macosken@mastodon.social 's Mac OS Ken podcast today then left a letter for Elizabeth Warren. You can, too! https://www.warren.senate.gov/contact/share-your-opinion/
Some days, there’s good news, too.
Brought to my attention from the F site today…
@acedtect@threads.net Funny you mentioned nicotine pouches on It's a Thing, because I'm getting inundated by nicotine pouch ads from all the A-cast podcasts, including yours! (And yeah, I could use the feed I pay into, but I'm lazy, and I never changed it.)
And now I want to see Our Town. I never really understood it before.
So Paramount has killed Starfleet Academy before its second season even airs. Why? Because of low viewer ratings fueled by a homophobic smear campaign and haters who'd suspiciously never previously posted much but suddenly had a lot to say?
🙌 So glad you could party with your bros dude! 🇺🇸 Way to REPRESENT our law enforcement community!!! 🍾

Dear all Slack administrators and participants,
I understand that you want to personalize slack with custom emoji/reactions. I've added some myself. But please keep in mind that most logos just do not make good emoji—they're too damn small! Think favicon. That would make a good Slack reaction emoji.
Kisses,
Me
Great episode of @macosken@mastodon.social today. But I disagree with the guest’s wholesale assessment of Starfleet Academy. I count s01ep04 among my favorite Star Trek episodes ever.
It just dawned on me that I am literally sitting in front of the TV, eating popcorn, watching the returns come in and the legal shenanigans in Texas.
As Icelanders go to the polls today, I think I might be hearing a good part of the UK quietly crying.

I think I wouldn’t mind A-cast ads so much if they had more than 7 across all the different shows I subscribe to.
