Hats off to you, New Jersey Man "I was at home at the time, heard a loud crash and found a hole in the ceiling of the master bedroom. I smelled a strong sulfur-like odor and saw many black fragments along with debris and black dust that covered my bed, carpet and surrounding areas" ... "He then immediately preserved and documented the entire scene using disposable gloves and aluminum foil to place the meteorite fragments in glass jars" https://www.seti.org/news/alien-world-chemistry-found-inside-meteorite/

There is so much that is absurd about this. But it is a serious kind of absurdity because the incompetence of the prosecutors — who were under no obligation to indict Hearn and could, like any of the rest of us, know that the problem with the liner was that it was obviously a botched job — brought the full force of federal criminal justice system to bear on a pretty clearly innocent person. 3/

What hypothetical actor wants to be seen, uses a 10+ drones flying for hours at a time, over multiple days? If you want to probe defense, a single, plausibly deniable consumer / hobby drone would seem far more to the point. If you want to be covert, you wouldn't run lights and would use minimum number to get the job done. Even if you want to send a message, you'd still want to minimize the chance of being caught, unless you're just absolutely sure you'll get away with it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

According to the journalist Ken Klippenstein, FEMA has a new mission: Domestic Terrorism. "The Federal Emergency Management Agency, often criticized for its inadequate response to natural disasters like wildfires, floods, hurricanes, and tornadoes, has been assigned a new mission: “domestic terrorism.” Now FEMA is shelling out grant money to state and local authorities to build up capacity to carry out pre-crime operations against “organized political violence,” as one FEMA information bulletin I obtained says. The bulletin, dated July 9, instructs local authorities to prioritize “domestic terrorism” in their grant applications. Titled “Implementation of National Security Presidential Memorandum-7…,” the document echoes President Trump’s emphasis on rooting out suspected domestic terrorists before an attack takes place. To head off these attacks, the bulletin tells states what to buy: training to spot “social media-based indicators,” analysts to monitor “online behaviors and digital footprints,” and teams for “managing persons of concern whose behavior indicates a potential trajectory toward domestic terrorism.” The story says the White House is trying to get states and localities to buy into this "precrime surveillance" by tying funding to their compliance. https://www.kenklippenstein.com/p/femas-new-mission-domestic-terrorism?utm_source=post-email-title&publication_id=7677&post_id=208852828&utm_campaign=email-post-title&isFreemail=false&token=eyJ1c2VyX2lkIjo2MjA1MTc2LCJwb3N0X2lkIjoyMDg4NTI4MjgsImlhdCI6MTc4NTI2NzQ3NSwiZXhwIjoxNzg3ODU5NDc1LCJpc3MiOiJwdWItNzY3NyIsInN1YiI6InBvc3QtcmVhY3Rpb24ifQ.JucxU7NE_KspkdGtnLlZRTSPbQSE1xgl34_8IYNi5dk&r=3ozy0&triedRedirect=true&utm_medium=email

And speaking of getting away with it, WTF was going on for those four hours a day? Does Barksdale have no drones of their own? No helicopters they can call on to follow one? It's also remarkable that basically none of the many "swarms of drones" sightings over sensitive installations has ended with any drones being found or anyone being caught. OPSEC is hard, drones fail, pilots crash… yet these have somehow been perfect
