I have a friend who's into web development. In the early days when we met, he would make bloated websites that would send a lot of javascript, and ask me to checkout his site. I would always open the site with JS disabled, and show him how broken his site is.
Today, he again asked me to check out his site. And, again I opened it JS disabled. But, this time to my surprise, the site not only looked great but was also almost completely functional!
He told me, "I knew you'd try this, so I put extra effort to make it work without JS".

I'm 25 years old, male, postgraduate student of Computer Science in India. I Love GNU (গ্নু), free (স্বাধীন) Software[0], Mathematics and fountain pens. I aspire to be hacker[1] and good human being.
Majority of my posts concern gnu, free software, and about software I use in my day to day life. Occasionally I post about fountain pens and very rarely I post about mathematics. Sometimes, I also post in Bengali language with multiple spelling mistakes.
If you don't have much appreciation for gnu or free software, you'll find me a GNUisance. I recommend you don't follow me in that case.

After seeing my handcrafted code turned into slop by my group members, I'll be reading Friedman's Essential's of Programming Languages for a while.

Short answer: No.
Long answer: The first version of Trisquel was based on Debian, and it contained non-free software. Main developers at that time met with Stallman when he came to their University to give a speech. Devs offered Trisquel CD for Stallman to sign. He refused and told them to make Trisquel only free software, only then he'd sign. Stallman also told, if they were going to make a distro, they should base it on most problematic and most popular distro, that is, Ubuntu. Next version of Trisquel contained only free software and since then have been based on Ubuntu. I recounted this old story because you'll see posts by many people asking why Trisquel is not based on Debian instead of Ubuntu. This is why.

@Pi_rat@freesoftwareextremist.com I didn't know this feature existed. I guess it's GNU C extension. I always pass the array (that is pointer to the array) and size separately.
(Side note: and wtf with me forgetting to write the verbs in my sentences, for example, in the previous post I forgot to write "find" (had to edit it back in) and in this post I'd forgot to write "know")

It's all right. A work around exist, which is to use Emacs' inbuilt input method. It's just little inconvenient, that's all.

I agree. Specially since Debian now includes proprietary software in its default release.

@SuperDicq@minidisc.tokyo @Pi_rat@freesoftwareextremist.com Debian includes FDL licensed work in its main repo, if the work does not contain any invariant section. GCC docs probably has some invariant section, it's common in old GNU manuals. Because of this, I don't think they can be re-licensed to CC-BY-SA.

Is there any software that tests read/write speed of a HDD without destroying pre-existing data in the disk?

Nothing fancy, inside Emacs I use Dejavu Sans Mono Book because it shows italics, bold letters properly. Also works well with Indian languages like Hindi and Bengali.

I wonder if the various marriage acts in India can be overridden or modified by signing a contract by the people marrying.
For instance, Hindu marriage act currently doesn't support no fault divorce, I wonder if the people marrying can sign a contract that says they will agree to a no fault divorce. Will it be upheld in court later?

Now I have tested with a fresh Trisquel 12 iso, there was no problem in Emacs!! I guess I'll just do a re-installation then, and forget the issue.
