Just released v0.2.0 of ties, the self-hosted federated bookmark manager!

The big highlights are website archiving and full-text search functionality.

This has been in the works for almost half a year. A lot of thought has gone into making this smooth to use, robust and secure by default. I'm looking forward to hearing feedback!

Just merged the new bookmark editing form for ties. It's the most complex form I've built using htmx yet. During the process, I've learned a lot. A blog post is coming!

I switched to Wayland about a year ago but this post made me reconsider. I always thought the remaining Wayland issues were due to lack of manpower, but it seems governance and communication problems block a lot of progress as well.

One thing I wish more libre projects would do is write down their core values and goals. It shows users and contributors what to expect, and prevents misunderstandings, wasted work and frustration.
