The Mender walks on tripods for extra stability while mending.

Been to a symphonic orchestra concert today. First time ever I'm on an event like this! Was invited on a very short notice, had to hurry a lot.
Wow this is cool! There were Debussy's nocturnes in 3 parts, and apparently the third part is usually not performed, because chori are hard to come by (but here in Tatarstan we have everything and everyone). Then Rachmaninoff's opus number one. I learned so many new concepts today and even heard new sounds.
A fruit merchant has given me change in two apples and a lemon (peculiarities of using cash).
We have an instance of NextCloud at dayjob. It has a barely working search. I thought, what if it works better on a Chromium browser? For this occasions, I have Vivaldi. I open it, and NextCloud works just as bad.
Vivaldi has updated itself. It now looks like GoLand and the new GitLab. You know, the playful purple gradient on the semi-transparent background UI with monochrome icons in those dockers, contrasting purely by colour with the page content. Seems to be a trend now.
I find myself quite enjoying this kind of design. Also lately I've found I'm ok with Liquid Glass design. What's happening?! Where's my non-conformism?
In university, we were given an assignment to calculate our personal inflation with 20 products we were buying for a year. Turns out:
1. I don't buy that much, and have been buying less lately somehow.
2. All those data-hungry corporations can't even reliably tell you what you bought a year ago, despite actually collecting and probably storing all that data.
And how do I do my assignment? I don't keep receipts...
Acrawl.
The more correct term would be aslither?
Impulsively bought a pack of pencils, happily thinking it's multiple shades of blue. Turned out, it's multiple shades of the regular grey pencil. OK then
Just today I was reading about the virtues of handcarts on Solar Website and how easy it is to carry cargo with them. Soon after me computer monitor broke. I think it's a warranty case, and despite my cold, I'll go to the shop and demand something. I'd prefer money instead of repairing tbh; I would buy a better monitor. Anyway, the shop is within walking distance, but carrying a heavy box with no handles isn't gonna be fun. I wish I had a handcart...
Words I avoid using (but still often fail):
1. Simply
2. Just
They can often be omitted with no loss of meaning but with removal of implicit prescriptive judgement.
“To enable the foobarator, just scrongle the capuccinator” 👉 “To enable the foobarator, scrongle the capuccinator”
“To bolvanize the round square, simply carve the cuneiform inscription” 👉 “To bolvanize the round square, carve the cuneiform inscription”
Note that I'm ok with words easy and simple.
Paying with cash rather than bank transfers. Savoring my agency

Some alphabets have cool names for every letter. The Glagolitic script did. Its first letters were
Az (me)
Buki (letters)
Vedi (know)
...
For conscripts and conlangs, this is such an underexplored area of expression. Just imagine we're worldbuilding, and we're using this thing to express the values and the lifestyle of a people in their alphabet.
Why don't we do this anymore IRL? Phonetic names like Em and Ess are not fun. The funniest name in Latin alphabet is Y—it's called Greek I in some languages.
Spilled tea (a nice red tea from Bulangshan mountain) on my keyboard. It has started shining
Should I publish my zine as Bouncepaw rather than whatever secret pseudonym I had in mind? 🤔

I try to design a kind of standard notation to use across all my notes hoping to standardize multiple topic-specific notations into just one style.
You're inventing the Glass Bead Game :drake_like: By all means please continue
Between ePub and FB2, I'd always preferred FB2 for no particular reason. But apparently it's a less known format in the West? Do you folks use it?
