mastodon 4.8.0-alpha.3+glitchTransportation #DataOps & #EmergingMobility Team Lead. MIT transit lab #MIT MST-MCP '15.
I'm #hiring for someone to build and maintain transportation data pipelines and the infrastructure they depend on. We use #Airflow & #Python in #AWS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (#RHEL) environments to Extract, Validate, Load & Transform our data in a #PostgreSQL database. Join the #DataOperations team of 6 within the broader Transportation Services Data & Analytics Unit. Deadline to apply to this hybrid position is April 27th.
Just a note to consider this even if you do not meet 100% of the criteria in the job description as it is broad. If the job and mission here excites you and lines up with your background in data and/or transportation, lets talk. I strongly encourage First Nations people, Black people, people of colour, 2SLGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, women and newcomers to Canada to apply.
Boosts welcome!

It sometimes amazes me when companies that operate with the wrong incentives get funding. As pointed out in the replies:
- a company who pays a recruiter for good candidates will return to that recruiter when they need more good candidates
- an employee who pays a recruiter to get them a good job … has a good job and shouldn’t be a repeat customer anytime soon

@GraphicMatt@mastodon.social Climate Fast have a complementary (climate based) council report card.
14/123 of people referenced in the Planet Money Book are Canadian. Which could be punching about our weight considering relative populations between Canada and the USA (and whatever other countries might be represented in the book)

Spain is the first country to win the Women* and Men’s World Cups back to back, showing how much the country has committed to developing football talent for both genders. #WC2026
- arguably the women’s team has the opposite of the wind in their sails in 2023 with many public fights with the federation’s sexist leadership.
