My @torontostar@botsin.space column: Waterfront advocates have won. Yet another island airport expansion debate is over. Let’s not do it again. On the need for a real plan for the waterfront’s future, which could cement the status quo of a small island airport — or maybe not. https://www.thestar.com/opinion/contributors/a-billy-bishop-expansion-has-been-grounded--yet-again-time-to-end-the-dogfight-over-the-island-airport-once-and-for-all/article_0a75a088-cfa7-46b9-8a32-84f3d042f375.html

Councillor Gord Perks says it's fair to discuss whether sites should include housing or other uses like parks or commercial. "Where people go wrong — horribly, horribly, immorally wrong — is when they start demanding consultation about what kinds of people live where," he says.

My @torontostar@botsin.space column: There’s lots of disagreement about Toronto transit projects, but damn near everyone can agree about one thing: electrifying and increasing GO Train service is a great idea.

It’s a real shame Doug Ford’s government has screwed it up again.
