that is a very good idea. thanks,
I had one as a kid.
The added benefit is that you get to hear a view of our world from outside our world and that is useful even before democracy dies. It might even help to prevent a total collapse or speed the recovery.

We are going to need this kind of work in a few years to cleanup the sludge left behind by the folk who are operating the government of the US right now.

It is so remarkable to see such ignorance on display. I miss the days when these types had to hide their ignorance. I hope that this will make it easier to deal with these types but I'm not sure about that.

so we have learned that the-tRump has won more wars than any other president in history;
we are not counting the number of wars he has stopped.
note to historians (and big corp media): do not count the wars he has started.

When I was in college, there was a guy, mark hyde? if I remember right; he could whistle up the carrier light on a 103 modem.
We would then say, OK now log on:-) wise guy.

This will just help folks around the world find them.

as bad as the epstein crimes are, keep in mind that it is a distraction.
The plan is to keep the media from talking about their plans to steal the #socialSecurity money and cut health care to the elderly and poor and destroy the education system.
Keep your eye on the ball or in this case the money.

just chatted with a chem engr friend of mine.
The cooling that they want is done by evaporating water. So the real issue for them is what to do with what is left, the poisons, salts, PFAS, forever chemicals, etc.
When they start with clean water what is left is mostly salts, and carbonates of one sort or another.
As always, they want someone else to pay.
They can concentrate more money if they dont have to spend it cleaning up what remains after evaporation.

This is all true and good to hear
but
we need to hear
1) how is this going to be stopped ?
2) how is it going to be fixed?
3)how will the folks doing it be held accountable ?
4) how do we prevent it from happen again?

and so this should bring up the next obvious question:
What happens to the AI investment when the AI slop has replaced the copyrighted human generated data because all the humans have been fired or are not being paid to generate new content

so its is sort-a like whats happening in the #USA right now.
#conservatives took over in 1980-1992, huge #economic mess.
#liberals cleaned it up in the 1992-2000
conservatives took over in 2000-2008, huge eco mess.
liberals cleaned it up 2008-2016
conservatives took over in 2016-2020, messed it up again
liberals cleaned up some of it 2020-2024
now conservatives are messing it up again by destroying the actual systems that we use, #healthCare, #education #environment.

@angiebaby@mas.to I see that google will replace those 52 trackers with one tracker to track for everyone and then sell your data to all 52 plus anyone else that pays. The difference is that you won't know who or how many are tracking you.
That should make you rest better at night; big corp is here to protect you.

Its a party trick. I know nothing about football but at parties I just string the buzz words together and nobody notices; ... until I talk about the cardinals vs 49er game and how they gave up a free throw from the foul line with 2 outs and 5 to go for a 1st down.

There is a general plan to all that they have done to us.
All sources of factual information are being eliminated or under attack; public and private; that is CDC, NOAA, NASA, wikipedia, VOA, universities, schools, etc
visitors, students and legal immigrants are being deported and citizens are being threaten with kidnapping and being sold to private prisons in other countries.
The coup, over 4 years in the planning, is spreading to all sectors of the country.

for a long while the special sound effect to show a computer was responding was the clack-it-clack of a teletype.
and to show a computer was working was to show 9-track IBM tape drives spinning back and forth.
