Writing tip: When you write a blog post in which you say that you are a super responsible vibe coder, maybe don‘t say you‘re generating code in a programming language you don‘t know **in the same article**

@tisba@ruby.social Yep, and another issue points to significant, foundational problems at GitHub: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b13m-iuu4XU&feature=youtu.be
And that‘s just part of the issue… the list goes on. Their GitHub Action runners are so unreliable that we went to a different provider for them in my current project and it significantly improved the happiness in the team.
My main problem is: for commercial projects, I don‘t really see an alternative that is not self-hosted 🙈
Github are you joking?
On April 29, @alaaReuschenbach@mastodon.social and I will give a talk about Web Performance at @engkiosk@podcasts.social Rhine-Ruhr 😀 @utilitybend@front-end.social will talk about how CSS became a state machine. See you there?

It gets harder and harder for me to see any meaningful difference between iOS and Android. iOS is getting less privacy friendly (wait for Siri becoming Gemini), Android is getting less open. They look very similar. And outside the pre-installed apps, it‘s mostly web views and cross-compiled apps anyway.
It feels like developers are currently split into two groups that do not really understand what the other group is talking about:
One group tries to reduce their dependency on Big Tech by switching to alternative search engines, code forges, map providers, operating systems…
And the other group is trying to increase their dependency on Big Tech by adopting agentic and/or vibe coding.
I updated neovim to 0.12.2 today, and it is completely broken. It deletes things I write, closes windows at random, goes to the next line when I :w and so many more bugs. It‘s the only thing I updated, and it worked completely fine before that. I‘m so angry, it is an essential tool for me and I‘m unable to work with this mess. I never had a vim or neovim update break anything in over 10 years. And now it is completely broken. For now, I will switch to vim, but I consider vim-classic and helix as the next step.
I can see no other reason for this than neovim adopting Claude et al heavily. It‘s the same story as rsync: A perfect track record, and now horrible bugs. I‘m sorry, but I really don‘t understand why stories like these keep happening, and people still think these tools are fine.
[Update: I ran it with no plugins and an empty config, the problems remain] [Update 2: After some experimenting, I now figured out: It is the combination of the terminal emulator kitty (which is also adopting LLM-based development heavily 😒) and nvim >= 0.12.0]
