I've discovered Mastodon API now, and it looks like there is a wrapper in #Python. Will give that a try. (I can already see myself wanting an asyncio one 🥴)

Has anyone created a quiz/flowchart for determining which mastodon server we should join? 🥹
I'm now thinking of moving to a different instance, maybe fosstodon (if it will let me in there)
Has anyone done this before? How does this work?
I still don't know how to follow people on mastodon 😬
e.g. someone shared profile on twitter. I clicked on it but it asked me to login. I'm already logged in though. How do I use this thing? 😰 Am I doing something wrong?
If people follow me then at least I can click the "follow back" button.

@s_gruppetta @oliverandrich From what I read, the toots don't get transferred, but the followers automatically follow your new account. I will be attempting this by EOD so we'll see

@brettcannon @ayharano @__Chimaera It seems like I could easily follow people back by clicking the "person+" icon, so why does following other people via their profile needs to be more complicated 😥 That part really bothers me.

@qlp I was reading that post but it seems quite outdated (written in 2019) so wasn't sure of its accuracy nowadays 😬

@coral@code4lib.social It's so unintuitive... I just feel so stupid.

@itsthejoker I was thinking of using httpx as well! Is there such a library yet or do you just write your own custom code?

@__Chimaera Thank you. I tried pasting their handle/url to the search bar earlier and it didn't work (it didn't show any result). But after you replied, I tried the same thing again, and now it works..
